sdb Posted 23 August 2010 Posted 23 August 2010 I don't think another midfielder is excessive. Some of ours are pretty average. Need wide right sorting 1st though.

However, N'Guessan is never good enough, nor Verma I feel. King and Wellens are our main men. Oakley is severly underrated when he plays in the middle with two around him. He hasn't got the legs but is a decent distributor and a decent at breaking up play. Moussa is an exciting prospect, a Central Attacking Midfielder, young and energetic so offers something different. Gallagher is brilliant techinically and creatively, also good at dead balls so he should play for me. Dyer is our only out and out left winger. Moreno looks a decent utility man. Danns is a bit of an all rounder so I think there is room and he would fit in well, should pin down a regular 1st team place.

The 27-year-old is keen to follow defender Paddy McCarthy and midfielder Darren Ambrose by signing a contract extension at the club. The Eagles star is currently in his final year of his contract but is aiming to extend his time with the Championship outfit. "There has been a contract offer and we're just negotiating at the moment," he told the South London Press. "I still want to be at Palace and I want to sign. It is about them wanting to keep me. "This has been a really good move. I'm happy here, my family are happy here and it is in the club's hands. We'll have to see what happens." The former Colchester and Birmingham midfielder is now an established figure at Selhurst Park, scoring 10 goals in 67 appearances since joining the club two years ago. ------ That was only 3 days ago..but yes 3 days is a long time in football
