jonno24 Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 Just purchased a crate of Tyskie after a mate suggested it to me and i have to say it hits the spot. Anyone else tried this and what do you think ? If not whats the tipple that floats your boat.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 I think it's quite nice, and there's the added bonus of it being cheap. It seems pretty effective at getting the East European lads round my way out of their heads
Fosse Boy Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 Blinding stuff. Love a good Tyskie. Flavourful and does a job. Would also recommend Pilsner Uruquell, nice Czech beer.
jonno24 Posted 15 September 2010 Author Posted 15 September 2010 Didnt realise it was 5.6% it is quite moorish aswell. Think i could get used to it. Does anywhere do it on draught that anyone knows of ?

FoxyPV Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 Sadly it doesn't float my boat as it always on offer near me. Cobra or becks usually but if I can be arsed to drive a bit further - Bitburger, Paulaner,Warsteiner or Starpramen. We were in Brno in the Czech Rep last year and spent all day at the Brnopramen brewery - the nicest beer I've ever tasted and cheap as chips (less than £1 a pint)
Unabomber Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 Try this as well, fairly similar to Tyskie but I prefer it. Wouldn't mind knowing how to pronounce it though as I must sound like a idiot with a speech impediment each time I order it.
Alexikokopops Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 I went to town on this stuff, along with Lech and Zywiec, when I went to Poland. Lovely stuff for the price. Found a Polish bar in London that serves it, along with some cracking food.
Samilktray Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 Been drinking Red Stripe at the moment, mainly cus its cheap and Jamaican.

I think it's "zwee-beck", though I have mates who call it "zuveeyetch" or "zwaibetch". Fuck knows.
jonno24 Posted 15 September 2010 Author Posted 15 September 2010 My mate used to run a load of pubs in london and said that this was a big seller among the young'uns who wanted a cheap night and to get bladdered. were going on his stag do to Ostend in november might have to purchase a few more crates of this stuff on the way back. Also he said he once put half a pint of Tyskie and half a pint of Guiness together and it was amazing. ill take his word on that
Alexikokopops Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 I think it's "zwee-beck", though I have mates who call it "zuveeyetch" or "zwaibetch". Fuck knows. I always thought it was zhi-vee-eck, or maybe zhi-vee-ech
Houdini Logic Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 Tuborg is the one for me at the minute. Lovely on draught and lovely from the pull top bottles
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 Larger's shite - cider's where its at, especially Rokodelurg.
BoneDog Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 Been drinking Red Stripe at the moment, mainly cus its cheap and Jamaican. When I come Leicester to a match if I can't afford to go pub I always get a couple of cans of that from the shop near the train station and go drink em on Nelson Mandela park along with some peng greenery on my way to the Walkers. I got a few Skol Supers in about a week ago just to reminisce about the old days up the park. Man that shit is crazy but it's still drinkable as long as it's ice cold.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 I have just been to Cyprus again (5 years since my last visit). I forgot how nice Leon and Keo are, so I made the most of it for the 10 days I was out there. At 2Euro a pint you can't go wrong. I did come across a bar that did Carling on draught but it just tasted flat.
MC Prussian Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 It is nice, but nowhere near an ice-cooled Corona.
Houdini Logic Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 tuborg is garbage Light, crisp, easy to drink and still over 5%. I think you're fibbing
lcfc_jme Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 Tyskie has made many of my days and nights disappear, especially a lot of the pre-Palace away last season shenanigans in Leicester Square. Deary me. Definitely goes down well and hopefully will make for a pretty interesting Pompey away..
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 16 September 2010 Posted 16 September 2010 I'll stick with my Fosters That from the Fossesters tap in Spoons on Leicester Square?
