CHIN UP

We've just played the likely winners of the league this season, look what QPR have done to pretty much everyone they've played this season. Their game plan stopped us from doing much, credit to em. Look at our performances against Cov and Cardiff. we'll be fine this season. Keep the faith ffs. :city:

We should have an answer to their game plan. We don't and until Sousa relaises this isn't Seria A and ugly football can take you a long way in this league we aren't going anywhere.

Correct and I can see them coming unstuck if they have half the bad luck we had. I wasn't that impressed with them good finishing but not much else.

They were not as good as a weakened Cardiff team... Our performance was awful at times, wellens was terrible today! Ditch Oakley and Wellens, play Moreno and Abe against Pompey nothing to loose in the cup

If you're really over 40, then you should know that the away team bags a goal then sits back and counter attacks, thats how it works!!

You don't win games for showing up for one half each match. Should've beaten Coventry by about 4-1 or even 5-1 and only cared about winning Tuesday's game once we were 1-0 behind.

Oh, wait - against Coventry it was the exact same situation.

The Cardiff game was all about revenge, today the team was bereft of any passion from the start - which brings back eerie memories of recent times past.

Can't score for shit, because the manager keeps shuffling around, leaving squad members playing out of position. And the ones that are effective enough get either substituted early on or no chance of playing at all whereas the biggest losers get the nod to feature in a full match.

Strange times.

Well, if we can't win at least the league clash at Pompey away, then we're officially to be labeled

DOOMED!!!

I think I know someone who tipped QPR to win the league this season  not that I expected them to start this well. Also putting them in a treble with Chelsea and Soton seems to have been ill thought out.

I see alot of Martinez's Wigan in Sousa in that he refuses to play ugly to get a win and he'd rather see pretty football with loss rather than an ugly win. Not that today was that pretty it's the worse i've seen us play this season, we still play ok but wasn't pretty football like most of the games so far this season.

I would like to keep my chin up, but at the moment it seems like one step forward then two back, good and decent performances mixed in with average and poor.

We need to be more consistent, getting the first goal and scoring in the first half would help.

1-0 who gives a fook?

We're the Leicester boys and we're going up!

Best way to describe today is "Shit"...

It was all because they got an early goal. No one on this site has credited QPR for expert defence and they crowded us out in midefield.

I know mate, I was just saying it was a Shit day, we can play better than that! we must change it, Vitor for Morrison and switch Morro to right back, bring Moreno and Abe into Midfield and play Gallagher, Howard and Waggy up top for Pompy in the cup, we need to try something new.

Spot on. The best managers are flexible and adopt different styles of play dependant on the opposition. Warnock set his team up perfectly today and got his just desserts. Sousa however, has this ideology of the way the game should be played and when it doesn't work, he has no 'Plan B'.

Of course punters want to see nice, passing football, but only if there's an end result. It's just not working at the moment and sadly i don't believe Sousa can adapt and turn things around.

I'm not calling for his head (yet) but if results don't start to improve, and quickly, then i really can't see him lasting more than a month or two. I desperately want him to turn things around, but i just feel as a manager he has too many limitations.

Yes we've had bad luck and inept officials, but that ain't gonna cut it for too much longer. I hope the investors are happy with their choice of manager.

Evening lads, not here to gloat before you slate me.

Don't get to as many matches as I used to as I live 200 miles from London now and have two young sons so these discussions are my substitute for chatting to other fans in pubs.

One thing I noticed in this thread is that everyone is saying it's the worse you've played this season. This may be wide of the mark, but that's been said of almost everyone we've played this season.

Either we're being bloody lucky and playing everyone on an off day, or we're disrupting other teams play with the result being that it looks like a bad day at the office.

For what it's worth, I have hardly any finger nails left after this afternoon. It sounded like you were on top for large periods, but it reminds me of all Sousa's teams.

When he was with us, we were really hard to beat but christ, was it hard to score.

When we were 1 up, I did think I should relax more knowing what his teams are like but then at one up you know how the nerves set in.....

In all honesty, I'm delighted we won today. Playing away to you and Ipswich away we normally get bu**er all, so we'll take 6 points and see where we end up.

Good luck for the rest of the season, until you come to LR unless we're already up by then!

We're not all idiots by the way.......

people need to stop stressing at this early stange.

i know that we are near enough bottom,

and i know that it has been seven games with one win.

but we have sooo much time to regain points.

we are only 7 points away from our beloved play-off place.

currently occupied by teams like, watford & norwich, does that tell you something.

we have one of the best squads we have had in years.

and if we get our tactics right then we will all be happy as larry.

keep cheering on our team and i can tell you for a fact, things will get better.

A) that was a QPR fan and B) we were 1 up on Tuesday, hence winning the game..

And C) we have only led for about 15 mins out of 630 this season so don't really know how the nerves set in when you are one up ,as it is not a common thing to happen is the point I was making.

To be honest, we need to take a step back and look over the whole start to the season... the good and bad.

In most games we've dominated from what I've seen and heard from commentators and pundits when I can't make it.

We create more chances than the other teams on and off target.

We have great swathes of possession and restrict teams from playing their game.

We've regularly been camping out in oppositions halves for large parts of the game.

We have a very good set of players that are more than capable of playing very good football.

Now, our biggest problem without a shadow of a doubt is... we can't finish ANYTHING off.

Loose passing with the ball not reaching our players.

Wasted chances.

Wasted corners.

At the moment, we seem to have all the right ingredients, but we're not putting them together right and, to continue the cooking analogy, the soufflé keeps sinking when the time comes.

What Sousa needs to do, I don't know... is it confidence? skill levels? bad management?...

In my view though, despite us having had a very dodgy start, there are a lot of positives to still be taken and I am still looking forward to the next 5-6 games where I think things will turn around... if by the end of that time, things are still looking as bleak, then and only then will I start to really worry about this season and the consequences it my have for Leicester City F.C. come May.

Unfortunately I am really over 40 and I agree with what you say but just got the feeling they could be turned over. They did not seem to play with the confidence I expect from an unbeaten team that sits at the top of the league who were as you say sitting back one nil up away from home. Usually I would expect a team in that situation to have assured and confident posession of the ball for periods of time making us chase posession. Not saying I'm right but it just didn't seem right to me.

Yep I have had £20 on Chelsea, Qpr, Soton to win there league's. Two out of 3 are nailed on just fookin Soton got to improve....
