Albums you haven't listened to for ages but then when you do listen to them you wonder why you didn't listen to them for ages

Posts I never thought I'd see on foxestalk...

They're doing gigs for it next year I think for its anniversary, as is vogue, but the only UK date is an otherwise poor festival lineup.

I have tickets for said festival lol

Top work.

I'm tempted but there's **** all else there I'm interested in and it's not cheap lol

Mainly going for Alexisonfire but I also really like Basement & Fiddlehead who are on the bill. Also worth noting I hate these kinds of things so theres a strong chance I end up not bothering

Re-listening to the debut album by The XX.

Enjoyed when it first came out, then it was EVERYWHERE - for a couple of years it seemed like every single TV trailer was accompanied by Intro. Saturation bred contempt and I put it into my mental box of 'overhyped 00s indie albums that aren't worth listening to now'.

Dug it out again on a whim and it's a certified banger. A couple of duff tracks so it's not a perfect record, but it's a really coherent listen. They could release it today and it would still sound fresh. Just incredible that they were 17/18 when writing these songs.

Rough winter here in Denmark (can't remember last time everything was white for 2 months) made me want some chilled electronica. This did the job.
