not related but it says on BBC site Swansea game tomorrow but on FT's calendar its on Monday apparently.....(didn't want to start a thread on this as there's no need to)

Its tomorrow, i think it got moved to Monday because it was going to be on sky then it got moved back because they weren't going to cover it. I think.

yeah i've said it before but for me MM is a bit of a wally and nothing more. i don't mind him and i think a lot of the crap that's happened in his time has been unforeseen at the time

So we're rich now?

Do we have any idea yet how rich we are? i.e. can we have a swipecard for a season ticket now? :giggle:

Why does he have to be so cryptic about everything? He says they need to finalise the package. What package? Well done Ian Stringer for pushing him. It just sounds shady.

I'm just concerned that the mystery owner will be a political figure and if they're ever removed from power they could have their assets seized just like Sin did at Man City, although if we end up being owned by billionaires we'll be laughing

Thaskin didn't get his assets seized. He handed them over to his family as politicians aren't aloud to have a hand in businesses. He is apparently only worth 300 odd million on forbes but the wealth he handed to his family reaches into the billions.

It's not Chidchob, as he's not Indonesian. However, I thought there were more than three members of this consortium.

Probably is, its just us that are saying the '3rd investor' im yet to hear milan or top say it.

In RL interview MM said that "substantial people in Indonesia" are in the consortium and that he will "declare in a short time".

Ian Bason of Foxes Trust was also interviewed. He is wrong in saying it HAS to be revealed on the club's website. It doesn't. The regulations do not take effect until April 2011. The Foxes Trust should know what the regulations say but obviously they haven't got a clue.

We were told this directly by the Football League and we can assure you that the League is "very keen" to ensure the information is released quickly to the fan base - you could say "in the spirit of the new regulations" otherwise serious questions will be asked of the FL about the effectiveness of the new regulations, this is the first case to run under the new rules - it is of high importance to the FL that fans have the information quickly.

The League has already been assured by the club that the information will be released quickly.

We will give the club a limited amount of time to release the information & if it doesn't we will formally raise the issue with the Football League

How the f00k can the Football League ratify the deal if they don't know 100% facts? I mean if they are trying to make examples of clubs then surely we are prime candidates if this unknown investor has not been clarified by the FL.

Strikes me as either there is no mystery investor and Milan is just being his usual cock self, or the FL know something we don't!

Either way, why should there be a big secret over some investors we probably haven't heard about?

I understood it as they do know, but the club have got to the tell the fanbase.

On RL Monday Phone-in this evening Ian Stringer said that the publication requirements concerning the new ownership have to be complied with "before next April". Are you sure that your post is correct in that the Football League can compel immediate compliance?

Reasons for keeping it quiet.

a) The person is a bit dodgy.

b) The person is loaded and we don't want to push up January transfers by letting people know, thus meaning information would be released after the window.

c) The person doesn't want it coming to light yet, for whatever reason.

d) We are just digging our heels in about the new rules and will do it the day before we need to.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned in this post - but if someone owns more than 10% of a club then they HAVE to be identified - but I don't know under what time frame. But surely it should be sooner rather than later!

I would imagine the 3rd investor is not dodgy, I'm sure the FL would have needed to know who it was before the deal was ratified. So I would go for b, c, or d

Foxes Trust in the above post don't make the position clear as to whether it is immediate or not. I think it has to be done "by April 2011" as Ian Stringer surmised on RL.

Take a look at the Leeds United ownership and you realise how confusing the situation can be. You could have individuals owning 9.99% each which wouldn't be difficult in a consortium!

Enough speculation as tempting as it may be. We don't even know if MM owns anything since his previous ownership (?) of LCFC shares was/is held in a company registered in Delaware U.S.A.

We don't have to be hung up about what any particular document says or doesn't say on timescales.

The Football League want this information made available to the fans quickly under the spirit of the new rules, it would be embarrassment to the Football League if the information is not released quickly.

The club have told the Football League, the fans will be given the information quickly, we expect the club to honour this promise.

For anyone reading this on behalf of the football club, The Foxes Trust interpretation of quickly is "one week from the Takeover being ratified by the Football League".

If we move into November without the information, we will be calling the Football League

I think timescales are important not only for the ownership of this club but for other clubs as well. I am sorry that you can't get to grips with the details of the new rules. If the Foxes Trust holds itself out as a model supporters' organisation you should know the chapter and verse of the new rules/regulations.
