Bert Posted 25 October 2010 Posted 25 October 2010 The number of singers wasn't up to the level no, but what we can do about that? We still do everything we can to support the team by singing, but if others either don't want to, or don't go to the game we have to make do with what we've got. Also, the performance was hardly inspiring was it? We as fans have to do our bit, but if the players don't do theirs, it's pretty disheartening. Bar a few hundred, we're certainly a sing when you're winning team.
Dr The Singh Posted 25 October 2010 Posted 25 October 2010 No I think your points are pretty valid really. As I said in my longer post a couple of pages back, the singers consisted of us and a smattering along the back. I assume you were in that group and I know you aren't the type to sit on your hands during a game but you must admit that the numbers of singers wasn't up to the levels of other games this season. Leeds for instance sounded outstanding and by all accounts it was. I agree with Finnegan that singing songs about an actual ethnic group to pisstaking about Scousers for instance though. As for us being the same people who moaned about Cheltenham, most of us still have a bit of a soft spot for them and loved them at the time as well. I'll stand and sing with Leicester fans all day long, I prefer it that way. I think I speak for most in the Fosse Boys when I say I'd have preferred us to be a near invisible part of 1000 singing on Saturday than the reality. On form we're as loud fans as almost anybody on the road. How many other sets of fans would have been singing as loud as we were when 3-0 down at Palace and playing shit? On some of the Ultra forums even Celtic fans have praised our away support before. That's what made Saturday so frustrating for me, to go from that to merely a few small pockets of fans singing so far apart we couldn't hear one another and a frankly racist song about one of our own players getting an airing is a bit disheartening. Oh dear!!!!!
lcfc_jme Posted 25 October 2010 Posted 25 October 2010 Oh dear!!!!! When are your Fosse Boys going to be making an appearance, Singh?? <_< <_<
Dr The Singh Posted 25 October 2010 Posted 25 October 2010 When are your Fosse Boys going to be making an appearance, Singh?? :thumbup:They will be there, there just waiting for the pooon to arrive!!! No pooon, no Original Fosse Boys!!!
Finnegan Posted 25 October 2010 Posted 25 October 2010 :thumbup:They will be there, there just waiting for the pooon to arrive!!! No pooon, no Original Fosse Boys!!! Man has a point.
lcfc_jme Posted 25 October 2010 Posted 25 October 2010 :thumbup:They will be there, there just waiting for the pooon to arrive!!! No pooon, no Original Fosse Boys!!! Definitely a point I'd made note of, Singh: We should just name it "The Singh's Stadium". That'd draw in major poon. Make it happen!
jmono84 Posted 25 October 2010 Posted 25 October 2010 Just watched the highlights on foxes player! I missed the radio comm because I was working!! We had a few chances.. Fryatts diving header - wide, Davies' header, the lovely intrecate passing near the edge of their area where Fryatt stepped over the ball and Dyer eventually had a tame shot in the penalty area but I noticed they all came in the first half!! The only worry with me is we have to play some great football to create any chance whereas the teams we play against only have to rely on our def's losing possession and falling over or a simply punt up the field to create a one on one attack OR a simply run down the wing, past our centre back into the AREA!!!! I like Hobb's but I don't know what is wrong with him this season! I'm basically saying our def is no way near solid enough at the minute and there are still plenty of silly mistakes happening nearly every game which shouldn't be happening at this level! Come on CITY!!!
Dr The Singh Posted 25 October 2010 Posted 25 October 2010 Definitely a point I'd made note of, Singh: Make it happen! The name was offered to the club, but they want the stadium to be a 'family friendly' environment and NOT a poon festt!!!
lcfc_jme Posted 25 October 2010 Posted 25 October 2010 The name was offered to the club, but they want the stadium to be a 'family friendly' environment and NOT a poon festt!!! Absolutely disgraceful. How can we have Sven as our manager and not advocate a major poon fest?! The club needs to get its priorities sorted.

Bar a few hundred, we're certainly a sing when you're winning team. Barnsley is unreserved seating, hopefully there will be more singers in attendance but if we are split up into small groups lets all move together and sing the same song together and generate some serious noise. We are all Leicester fans together, lets have no chanting snobbery and all join in each others songs (Not including racist chants of course.)
Filbert's Friend Posted 25 October 2010 Posted 25 October 2010 as regards the alsation chant, i personally dont see it as racist. as far as im concerned, racism is more about intent than content. it clearly wasnt malicious as far as i can see, people are more defensive about these things when arguing on the behalf of another group of people - as if trying too hard to prove that they definitley dont condone racism againt that group. but i can see both sides of this argument, fair play
