Chris Kirkland - NOT a rumour !

This is not a rumour and I haven't heard anything from my old milkman (who's just finished his round in Whetstone and had a conversation with Mrs Kirkland's neighbour's sister etc etc), but I wonder if SGE might have a look at Chris K ? In the Daily Mirror this morning, there was talk that Kirkland is very unhappy at being Number 2 GK at Wigan - and might want a move away in January. Well, an ex-Whetstone lad and a decent keeper (certainly better than the current 'Chris') could be worth a shout - possibly get him in on loan now, with a view to a permanent transfer in Jan ? I, for one, would welcome that.

Not a bad shout that. Would certainly be an improvment on the seemingly faltering Weale.

He's got a dodgy back, but is still a good keeper. Playing for England not too long ago - I'm not sure if he ever played under Sven. I'd say he would be a good signing for City, but I'm not sure if Wigan would want to let him go - I don't know if they've got another decent keeper as back up. Money talks though.

I've just noticed that Kirkland PLAYED on Saturday - so much for the Mirror's story about him being Number 2 ! But, he might still be unhappy and want a move away.

Think we've got bigger things to worry about than our keeper tbh, Swans fans seemed to think Weale was our best player at the weekend, sounds like they would have bagged even more if it wernt for him

Isn't he the worlds most injury prone keeper?

He hasn't got the body to be able to take the hammer a goal kepper gets. His whole frame work isn't built to be a strog enough for a goalkeeper.

I have'nt seen shoulders stick out that far since Brigitte Nielsen's

Well he is a bit susceptible to injuries - as I said about his dodgy back - but other than that long-standing problem, most are all fairly short-term and he always seems to be back playing soon after.

Was he playing for Middlesboro' then?

Didn't he only play on saturday because wigans 1st choice keeper is al-habsi who is on loan from bolton whom they played on saturday so he was inellible.

Not sure if wigan would let him go with their number 1 being a loanee and not having great back up after kirkland.

Well as i was at swansea weale deff played for us, so if any norwich fans saw him they were very lost ....

Kirkland isnt better than weale and is injured 50% of the season
