The Foxes go into the game with Sheffield United after a fine 2-0 away win at Barnsley. City's revival under manager Sven-Goran Eriksson is gathering pace after taking 12 points from a possible 18.

City started the game brightly and on 18 minutes, found the opener. A Martyn Waghorn freekick curled dangerously towards the back post with Miguel Vitor on hand to head the ball home.

City continued to dominate the game and had a goal ruled out on the 24 minutes. Paul Gallagher's free kick was headed on by Martyn Waghorn to Andy King, who turned the ball into the back of the net, but the captain's effort was ruled out for offside.

It took the home side until midway through the second half, when Nathan Doyle hit a left foot screamer which rattled Chris Weale's bar before being cleared to safety by Greg Cunningham.

The points were secured for the visitors on 85 minutes. Paul Gallaghers perfectly weighted cross found King, who blasted the ball into the roof of the net to send the travelling 2,300 City fans wild.

Eriksson will be looking for his side to make it three wins in three on Wednesday night against Sheffield United at the Walkers Stadium.

Sheffield Utd

Both the Blades and City would have had ambitions of being among the front runners in the league this season, but both currently find themselves at the wrong end of the npower Championship table.

With City's revival under Sven-Goran Eriksson gathering pace, United's season under Gary Speed has faltered lately, losing their last three games on the bounce.

The last defeat came at home against Ipswich Town. Tamas Priskin opened the scoring on 6 minutes after Nick Montgomery failed to clear his lines.

On 29 minutes, McAuley won the tussle against former Fox, Mark Yeates, but only to put the ball into the path of Steven Quinn, who took a neat touch and fired the ball home to level the game.

United's joy didn't last for long as another former City player, Gareth McAuley, headed the ball down and placed a neat finish past Blades' goalkeeper Steve Simonsen for the winner.

A win for the visitors on Wednesday evening would see them move level on points with City. Gary Speed will be looking for his side to get back to winning ways and move away from the relegation zone.

Annoyed I can't go tonight.

Hopefully we'll play like we did in this fixture last season, one of our better performances.

Vitor obviously injured then. At least it gives Hobbs a chance to prove if he is worth a starting place.

My exact thought

Weale

Naughton Davies Hobbs Cunningham

Abe King Wellens

Gallagher Waghorn Vassell

Logan, Morrison, Howard, Fryatt, Berner, Dyer, Moussa.

Will it be that formation or will Gallagher be used on the wing, do we know?

you know things are looking up when Hobbs appears to be the weakest link. Complacency is the biggest potential achilles heel tonight.

Come on Leicester!!!

looks like a winning team to me :scarf:

Nice team, shame Vitor's missing out, Hobbs ain't a bad replacement like.

A win would be superb tonight.

Looks like United may be playing just the one up front in Cresswell? Seems to be the only recognised striker in their lineup from what I can see.

It could be a long night...
