sdb Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 personally i'd rather we got these 3 permanently and didn't get another striker (assuming it's realistic and we do have £10 mill to spend). Waggy, Fryatt, Howard and Gally have goals in them, not to mention Kingy. A solid back 4 should be the foundation for the team, if we don't concede we should win most games.
Scow Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 Naughton looks like the most realistic permanent signing out of the three. Would love to get Davies, but I suspect he's holding out for a Premiership move in January. As well as all three being good footballers, they're also quick, meaning we can press teams higher up the pitch to much better effect than having the likes of Morrison, Neilson and Berner in the side.
Stueyt74 Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 Vitor is highly unlikely, Benfica rate him at £15mil... We've got money to waste...
CupidStunt Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 Vitor is highly unlikely, Benfica rate him at £15mil... £15 mill? is he really that good?
rams r4 sh*ggin Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 Reason I put Naughton before davies is because our cover at CB is better than our cover for RB. Vitor is better than Neilson or Lamey. But yeah I agree davies has been immense i know what you mean.

That's IF Fryatt wants to play for us and starts performing. If he doesn't then what's left; Waghorn, Howard, Gallagher; is an absolutely diabolical goal-scoring front line. Regardless of my debate with Thracian about goalscoring, you actually cannot realistically expect to be successful without a recognized goalscorer in your side.
TAFT Posted 19 November 2010 Posted 19 November 2010 Hopefully George Taft will be ready to step up next season. Yea

Replace Gallagher with Vassell IF Fryatt goes we'll get a decent sum and we can spend that on a replacment
Bettsj2 Posted 19 November 2010 Posted 19 November 2010 Yea More likely that Cunningham goes back to Man City as 2nd choice behind that Russian fella they bought and we sign Wayne Bridge. George Taft will fade on loan to some League 1 club.

hackneyfox Posted 19 November 2010 Posted 19 November 2010 Replace Gallagher with Vassell IF Fryatt goes we'll get a decent sum and we can spend that on a replacment Well Gallagher is scoring at the moment Vassell has never been an out and out goalscorer. Just how much do you think we'd get if Fryatt was to leave?
Kitchandro Posted 19 November 2010 Posted 19 November 2010 What cover at CB is that exactly? Considering Morrison is crap unless he's at right back and Vitor will be going back to Benfica then....nothing Though Right back is a problem position too, like I say I think Morrison is decent there but Neilson and Lamey should get the boot in January IMO
