RedHux Posted 26 November 2010 Posted 26 November 2010 He's never going to be ready to make a proper impact by monday. I'd be happy with him just standing in the middle of the pitch spraying balls about. We need at least one player who can pick a final ball if only to save us shooting from all over the place.
Finnegan Posted 26 November 2010 Posted 26 November 2010 If he plays and Richie Wellens goes in like a moron and re-agitates the injury... Oh God.
RedHux Posted 26 November 2010 Posted 26 November 2010 Hopefully Wellens will be too busy chasing McGugan about the place. Anyway, I doubt Aaron will get much more then 10minutes at the end. Obviously I hope he's fit and raring to go but somehow, I doubt it.

It will be Yuki Abe chasing McGugan about, Kris Commons is still stuck in his pocket somewhere, just hope theres enough room for McGugan aswell because we all know Commons is a bit of a porker!
Dickie Greenleaf Posted 26 November 2010 Posted 26 November 2010 So if I've read that correctly: "Pah, rubbish! People are only taking notice because he's playing well for one of the top teams in the country! If he was playing well for one of the worst teams in the Championship then people wouldn't think he was as good as if he was playing for one of the best teams in the country"
MC Prussian Posted 26 November 2010 Posted 26 November 2010 If he plays and Richie Wellens goes in like a moron and re-agitates the injury... Oh God. There is no God. Only one Yuki Abe.
Finnegan Posted 26 November 2010 Posted 26 November 2010 Yuki is my shining light, he doesn't dive into tackles.
Tommy G Posted 26 November 2010 Posted 26 November 2010 You have no idea how much I don't want him to play against us. It'll break my tiny, cold heart. I wouldn't be expecting wonders, though. You're just doing Wenger a favour getting him back to match fitness, using you as his reserves really. He'll lack sharpness and pace to begin with. Have you crawled out of Ramsay's asre yet or did you spend the night there? When you say he will be ''world class'' will you put him in the same bracket as current world class players in the same position... like Fabregas, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi to some extent - they are ''world class.'' The media can hype him up as much as they wan't, as can you. But if was world class then I'm sure he will be taking fabregas' place, or wilshere or Nasri etc place when he goes back to Arsenal after his loan spell. Somehow I think he will be benchwarming for them.
Finnegan Posted 26 November 2010 Posted 26 November 2010 I think he is better now than Wilshere is, yes, hence why he was keeping him (and Rosicky) out of the side. I also think he has the potential to be in Fabregas' league, as well, and Wenger seems equally optimistic. You can be as cynical as you want, he was a teenage first teamer in one of the country's best attacking midfields for a reason.
Head Honcho Posted 26 November 2010 Posted 26 November 2010 Very good signing that is. Better than all of our midfielders imo. .................and you've made that assumption based on what exactly? His 50 odd professional games of which you've probably seen him play a full 90 minutes in err let me think......... none Any city player worried about him on Monday shouldn't be wearing the shirt.
Finnegan Posted 26 November 2010 Posted 26 November 2010 Or the fact that ours play for Leicester City in the Championship and he plays for one of the best youth focused managers in the world in the Prem and the CL? I agree we shouldn't fear him, or any one individual in an average team like Florist. But let's not be silly.

Don't want to turn this into just youtube moments argument....but he was finding some real form and was nailing down a first team place before the injury. These two goals (the first of which was a big moment/ an important goal in an important game) came in that period http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qx__U-bWLgU&feature=fvst http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85Pr_UUbPec

The Doctor Posted 26 November 2010 Posted 26 November 2010 if he was actually world class, why would they be loaning him out to regain his fitness at forest rather than regaining it in their first team?
Dickie Greenleaf Posted 26 November 2010 Posted 26 November 2010 No one's suggesting he's ready to be bossing the champions league, or single handedly guiding Wales to the promised land, but having not played in 10 months this brief loan allows him to find his feet again and get some game time under his belt in a less pressured environment. Whilst not wanting to say Arsenal are in "crisis" at the moment, it perhaps wouldnt be the best move to have him coming straight back into the first team that's currently under a lot of pressue, given that he's still only made less than 30 apps in total
Finnegan Posted 26 November 2010 Posted 26 November 2010 if he was actually world class, why would they be loaning him out to regain his fitness at forest rather than regaining it in their first team? Who has said he's world class now?
Collier Posted 26 November 2010 Posted 26 November 2010 if he was actually world class, why would they be loaning him out to regain his fitness at forest rather than regaining it in their first team? Note that Finnegan said he had the 'potential to be wold class,' not that he was already there.
Tilley Posted 26 November 2010 Posted 26 November 2010 If Ramsey didn't suffer that horrific injury, he'd be in the starting XI every week, not Wilshere. It is accepted at Arsenal that he is seen as Fabregas' replacement when he inevitably leaves for Spain.
lildave3 Posted 26 November 2010 Posted 26 November 2010 Anyone doubting how good this guy is are off their heads.

RedHux Posted 30 November 2010 Posted 30 November 2010 I thought a 1/3rd fit Ramsey, even ducking out of every 50/50, was our most likely to play anything like a threatening ball last night. Probably more of a criticism of whoever else we had in midfield though. (Wasn't sure who we had in midfield as however hard I looked I couldn't see them)

RedHux Posted 30 November 2010 Posted 30 November 2010 Yea, he was pretty anonymous. A return to the Lewis of old.
Tevez Posted 30 November 2010 Posted 30 November 2010 Ramsay who?? Did fook all tonight He played 45 Minutes Reserve team for Arsenal and last 20-30 last night coming from a broken leg. I guess if you was in his shoes you'd of probably been captain, played the ninety and scored 7.
