Attendance v Doncaster

It aint that bad I have been going for 30 years + and it was never that loud as people make out at filbert st to be honest, it sounded loud in the old spoin kop but the roof was low and from the filbert st end you could hear the away fans more, the walkers is not that bad.

*2 Some of worst atmospheres ive ever heard were at Filbert Street during the Premier League years, its just nostalgia that make people believe otherwise.

Great attendance today, could have been more if there wasn't such a huge gap between the home and away fans :scarf:

The reason our away suppot will be poor today is because lot of fans have refused to attend due to the ticket offer not being passed to away fans. As a club, DRFC always make ticket offers available to visiting supporters aswell.

Actually, by Tuesday we had already sold 708 tickets for the game (our stadium website gives updates on ticket sales) and it hasnt been updated since, so id say we are pretty close to selling the 999 allocation.

Further more, after speaking to fellow fans and reading our forum it appears a large number of Donny fans have bought tickets for the Leicester end.

I agree lcfc should pass on the special offers to away fans, this would probably have a negative effect on lcfc in the first instance that 3,200 away fans can make alot f noise but if our fans were to do there bit it's easy to outsing them. When I'm at a game and the away team with a small following scores first it's harder to take to see 300 fans spread out jumping up and down although it's hard to take seeing 3,200 celebrate I imagine it's better knowing your one of 300 rather than 3,200 seeing your team score

I really hope the club learn from yesterday, 27500 is quality v Donny.

Sure the club made more money from that than the usual price and selling 23000 or so. Quite a few would have brought refreshments etc.

Im a season ticket holder anyway, but surely this was a good move by the club (picked a good game too!) and perhaps should see this more often.

27549 biggest crowd of the season. :appl:

It shows the potential's still there if we keep playing proper football. But when are they going to stop playing the ghastly, drown-out, pre-match music and let the fans create the atmosphere.

It really is ignorant. I was almost right next to Fosse Boys and could hardly hear them at all pre-match.

Must admit I didn't expect 27500 so yesterday was a success all round.

However still work to be done by the guys in marketing, I know this was a promotion season but just check out those attendances......

Yeah although that season was the first year in the new ground which will have had a small bearing aswell as only just being relegated from the Prem.

Alot more fans fixtures occured back then aswell....I'm sure there was something like 5 a season.
