This to me shows the incredible ambition by the new owners and manager which can only be a good thing, they are obviously keen to attract a certain calibre of player and get the stadium filled for every match.

Having said that, there could be bigger fish to fry than Beckham as regards loans. If some big Premier League clubs bring in a few players, the 25-man squad rule could mean there's a few decent players available for loan. Could lead to a mad dash towards the end of the transfer window though.
Winchester Posted 22 December 2010 Posted 22 December 2010 i agree becks could go to bigger clubs, but we need to remember he's out to get his fitness up, not win trophies. Going to a bigger club he might also risk having to sit on the bench if his form isn't up to top level right away. At leicester he'd have a manager he's familiar with, a language and culture he's accustomed to, opportunity to see the fam and friends, and a league that emphasises fitness. PS sven is only talking it down to get better odds at the bookies
