Attendance Record for an LCFC match to be broken?

With this game now looking like a 'Sell Out'' will this mean we break the attendance record for a LCFC game at the Walkers stadium? The current record stands at 32,148 against Newcastle back in the 03/04 season. However segregation issues may mean we just fall short of this 'record'

It’s A Sell Out!

The Leicester City Ticket Office have this morning reported that the FA Cup Sponsored by E.ON 3rd Round clash with Manchester City is now completely sold out.

The last few remaining tickets were snapped up online over night and from the Ticket Office this morning. All hospitality packages, including the Executive Boxes are, are also sold out.

A crowd in excess of 31,000 will converge on the Walkers Stadium on Sunday, for what should prove to be a memorable occasion.

Club Spokesperson said, "We have now sold every single seat available in the stadium, apart from the several hundred seats that we have lost to the segregation. The atmosphere inside the stadium will be electric.

City fans are urged to arrive at the stadium as early as possible and ensure that they are in their seats well before kick-off.

"We strongly advise supporters to get to the stadium in plenty of time to ensure they avoid unnecessary queuing. There will be thousands of supporters collecting tickets before the game, and we have lots planned, so we urge supporters to arrive as early as possible to avoid missing the kick-off."

32,148 v Newcastle, boxing Day 2003

Must have been less segregation then.

Oh right, didn't read the original post properly!

We won't beat the attendence agaisnt Newcastle. They've taken seats out since then for the segregation line between L block and away fans and N block and away fans. Plus the Black netting will also be in use tomorrow....

Sensible pricing helps £10 is somewhat better than £30

We'll scrape 31k I think.

For that Newcastle game there were less Toon fans so less segregation needed meaning a bigger capacity could be reached.

Wont the segregation space be the same, it's the same distance from the top to the bottom of the standdunno.gif

Regardless oh how many Newcastle fans there were that game you would still need a certain amount of seats for 'no mans land/black netting' it would be the same if there was 3,200 or 1,500.

It'll be over 31,000 as it says in the article on the OS and it'll have to be just below 32,000 if the stadium is completely full and can literally not even take one more person!
