Maybes Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 I ment j3 it's a good job I got a ticket there Should definitely be standing I would imagine. Im J3 row GG or HH I think.
Stevosevic Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 We have had plenty of sell outs since that Newcastle match, and like someone else pointed out, we won't break the record, they have taken seats out.
The Doctor Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Wont the segregation space be the same, it's the same distance from the top to the bottom of the stand fewer columns of seats in the segregation?
davieG Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Elsewhere - Cov v Palace = Attendance: 8,162 (999 visitors)
Wymsey Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Whatever the score will be tomorrow (i reckon 5/6-0 to them) it'll be still good to see the fans to turn out and support the team rather than have a poor attendance and lose horrifically to them.

Well that's a nice optimistic sentiment. In response to the question in the thread title, I highly doubt any records will be broken. I think I'm right in saying we've not yet sold out the WS when a side has been allocated 15% of the ground, and so we don't really know how many seats will be lost to segregation. In the past when we've sold out it's always been with the normal away allocation. Also I think the Newcastle stat is also for a competitive match - the all-time record for actual city fans in the ground I think was when we played Barcelona in that friendly as the ground was full but there were no away fans (well, I'm sure there were a few but they weren't segregated...)
lestajigs Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Wont the segregation space be the same, it's the same distance from the top to the bottom of the stand When I went ticket office they showed me l block, basically 5 end seats in l are segregation (police, netting). So 5 seats X42 rows = 210 seats segregation between l and k, soooooo if it's the same the other end, it's gonna be 420 total, so if this is correct which I don't think it will be, Att= 3280!

Incredible amount of stand closure to make it a sell out then?
lestajigs Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Incredible amount of stand closure to make it a sell out then? U no what I mean, got headache now!! Ha
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Errm 31450 possibly. Come on City errrm think we will actually lose 3-0 but hey ho. Up the City
samjohnson Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Im sure segregation only takes off a couple of hundred... I have a feeling we'll tip 32,000. They dont really need half a mile of black netting covering seats... they have the wider, barrier-pole'd stairwells which the police like so much.

The barrier pole'd stairwells you talk of won't be in use tomorrow due to Manchester City having L and N blocks.
