The Year Of The Fox Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Fancied a bet on a sneaky 2-1 win to us tomorrow. The odds? 14/1!! A mate of mine fancies 5-2 to them. The odds on that? 125/1! So basically they're saying theres more chance of us winning than there is of us getting thrashed!
Walshy5 Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 I might have a bet. Whats the odds on us losing 5-0
The Year Of The Fox Posted 8 January 2011 Author Posted 8 January 2011 How are high odds for a 5-2 scoreline "strange"? This isn't a championship game of equal ability sides thats why. Tomorrow is either going to go really really well or horribly wrong. Its quite conceivable that they knock 5 past us and we get a couple of consolation goals.

Haydos Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Worth a quid on 5-2 i reckon I'd go for 4-0 personally <_<
The Year Of The Fox Posted 8 January 2011 Author Posted 8 January 2011 Good job you're not a bookmaker then! Realistically, if you had £10 for a bet tomorrow, and you were given those two bets as options, most would pick the 5-2 to them.
Haydos Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Who, me? I was talking about Chelsea v Ipswich I'm reyt looking forward to it but we're only gonna get something out of it if we work our socks off. Any slackers and I can see us conceding a fair few. I've got everything crossed!
Wymsey Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 If Berner's injured then the odds of most of their goals (they will score) coming from the right would be pretty much evens or 2/1
m00nie Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Realistically, if you had £10 for a bet tomorrow, and you were given those two bets as options, most would pick the 5-2 to them. if you was gona get stuffed with 5 i reckon you would at most only get 1 consolation goal so to me the other bet would be more feasible..
Haydos Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 If Berner's injured then the odds of most of their goals (they will score) coming from the right would be pretty much evens or 2/1 Whats up with Berner mate?

Wymsey Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Whats up with Berner mate? Had a tight hamstring problem in training yesterday. I think he will be rested for this one.
Haydos Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 I had waggy in ahead of gally in my team selection Hope Yaya plays so Yuki can make him his bitch
Salieri Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Don't think the OP has a grasp of betting odds. Can't for the life of me work out why those odds would be 'strange'.

samjohnson Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 With odds like that on 2-1, im gunna stick a few quid on it!! You never know...
Head Honcho Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 We are 13/1 to win 1-0. The fact that there are 4 Man City correct scores with less odds speaks volumes.
