Some low life chav decides to give him a load of verbals and gets one slap from him, the person on the receiving end is hardly all sweetness and light are they? His comments when he left weren't exactly smart, most players try to respect their old clubs. But he was a 17 year old lad and he's the sharpest knife in the draw, besides what did he say that wasn't true at the time? West brom had just come down from the premier and were known for their good football, we'd been relegated and were crap. Reading your post on here saying you missed "the best moment of the night" referring to him being injured means you are no better than the person you are castigating, in fact I'd say you are worse. People seem to be getting real joy from it, I think people seriously need to look at themselves if that's the case. Not surprising though that it's all the people who have previously come across as having about 3 brain cells floating around in their skull. That response you deleted was all you deserved. You must be Mattock's dad, that's the only way you can defend a person like Mattock. Oh and you defend woman beating? What cos she was mouthing off, it's OK is it? I can forgive someone for doing something silly in the heat of the moment, I can actually forgive someone booing last night because again it's in the heat of the moment. But to come on here the next day and still seemingly be chuffed about it is just sick. That's why you are worse than him to me, there is nothing in the heat of the moment about your comments. You've had time to think about it and you still think it's ok!!!

But did I stoop to that level of booing him off? Nah, I like to think I've got more class. And I thought most of our fans did too. He might deserve it and this would seem to be karma but I just think it was bit shameful on the club IMO. But at the same time I do understand why people would boo him off, I just felt smug inside without feeling the need to express it.

I'm sure if the father or brother of the girl he punched got 5minutes alone with him he would get much worse than a broken bloody ankle. He certainly would if it had been my sister or girlfriend or any girl that I know for that matter. I'm not the sort to wish harm on anyone but at times like these you can't help but feel that to an extent somebody has got what was coming to them. Having said that I hope he makes a full recovery. He is undeniably a complete dickhead but he is young and he deserves the chance to sort himself out.

Glad that Leicester hung it there These forums have been a revelation for me and sometime I think people just argue for the fun of it and I have no problem with that. After all football generates a lot of passion and tribal loyalty and people get excited and carried away. In that sense the people who cheered have a sort of excuse. It's natural and doesn't help for others to take a holier than thou attitude. :sge: praised the away crowd for their support and it's good to see a good spirit among Leicester fans. But look at this matter in the cold light of day. He hit a woman. Under provocation maybe, but still he lost it and hit a woman. In that case he should be punished of course. But a player being stretchered off in pain and may having to kiss goodbye to his playing career it is really nothing to gloat over and make gross comments about. What are the words I am looking? In my world it's wrong, I don't expect you to say "oh poor Joe", I don't care if you hate him to pieces for stuff he has done, that's your business. But people laughing at him, being happy about it and wishing an end to his career is just sick, how much money someone in the bank shouldn't matter one little bit.
