muzzy1981 Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 IMO he should go straight in for Sol if he is unavailable sat. Sounds like he put in a sterling performance for the reserves and his decent record for us: Played 9 Won 6 Lost 3 The games he lost were Norwich (Sent off - Other CB was Morrison) Wes Brom (Other CB was Morrison) Ipswich (Got injured and was snow football match!) All the games won were with Hobbs and Davies. Thoughts please?
okie fox Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 I thought that he was sent off against Portsmouth.

muzzy1981 Posted 10 February 2011 Author Posted 10 February 2011 Sorry my bad it was pompey. Basically he has only been in the losing side once in the Championship and that was the infamous Ipswich away when he got injured... So what do people think?

If Bamba is out and Vitor recovers from 90 minutes playing yesterday, I would prefer Vitor and Mee to Hobbs and Mee. But if Bruma signs on loan, I expect he will start.
Zingari Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 We've been concentrating on more attractive football recently , and as Miguel is pug ugly , i don't think he should play
cc_star Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 Sorry my bad it was pompey. Basically he has only been in the losing side once in the Championship and that was the infamous Ipswich away when he got injured... So what do people think? By the time he was injured we were already well beaten, in part due to the weather not being conducive to football, mainly because we couldn't live with Keane's tactics, and also Kalimity Kirkland was out of position & lost his voice for all their attempts on goal. For me Vitor looks very accomplished on the ball, which is obviously a major plus, but he's not immune to being a tad out of position or making a mistake - He's OK to play though, but I wouldn't say he's a future club hero, perhaps if he was to sign it would be different, but I didn't get the same feeling from him as I did the first 50% of Curtis Davies games with us
Callabinho Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 Id go for Bamba And Vitor!, But the added bonus is both Bamba and Vitor can play defensive midfield! SO if we come up against a team who is over powering us in the middle stick either Sol or Vitor at the back and you have yourself a tidy powerful CM, I do fully expect Vitor to come into the team when he is fully fit, But what about Bruma, he is very highly rated?

A Chelsea season ticket holder I used to work with, and am still mates with were surprised they signed Luiz as Bruma was being prepared to step up, he thinks its Abromovich's throw of the dice in an attempt to win the CL with the league looking unrealistic now, but Bruma is rated very highly
muzzy1981 Posted 10 February 2011 Author Posted 10 February 2011 I think it is likely that Bruma could go straight if he signs. Either way I think it's great that we such high quality compeition CB and think Bruma like Mee (Left) can play full back (right), so he would give us strong cover for Naughton.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I think (if football manager is correct ) you can replace a player who was previously in your champions league squad with another before the knockout rounds begin
paddy Agyemang Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 Vitor and hobbs or vitor and bruma Not ben mee
LCFCmatt Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 Vitor and hobbs or vitor and bruma Not ben mee So bamba up front, then?
FuriousFox46 Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 He's 74 on Fifa, How can he be underrated
Filbert_Ross Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 didnt realise he was underated. always looks class to me.
Kent Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 He's 74 on Fifa, How can he be underrated Haha I knew someone would mention this. I think Vitor would be capable of starting if needed. Good on the ball, a decent tackler and not got a bad leap on him. Looks like it'll be Bruma and Bamba though. Can't argue with that.
Tommy G Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 Vitor is our best CB and should play when fit and available.
artursteppe Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 Miguel Vitor is real quality. He will be genuine high class, even world class as a defender in the future, Would be the biggest coup if Sven could sign him, even for another loan spell next season.
Simo86 Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 So bamba up front, then? Supposably he is a major doubt for saturday
