Fox You Forest Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 They've made a good start, Ryan ten Doeschate in next too, good player for Essex. I think the Dutch (Ireland close) are probably the best of the rest, not including Bangladesh.
Fox You Forest Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 They must have some decent bowlers in the side if Dirk Nannes can't get in the team.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 Dirty Dirk doesn't qualify any more now he has played for Australia, it would be nice tho would make em more competitive
purpleronnie Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 Ryan ten Doeschate showing why he's one of the best one day batsmen. England have got to pull their finger out. This could get embarrassing.
StanSP Posted 22 February 2011 Author Posted 22 February 2011 Ten Doeschate gets his century! This is pretty good from him and the Netherlands; few overs to go and they're on 253-5.
Wycombe Fox Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 England are being Dutch-ruddered We're having an absolute 'mare in the field. Dutch batsman just recalled to the crease as we didn't have enough fielders in the circle.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 I had no idea the Dutch could play Cricket.
StanSP Posted 22 February 2011 Author Posted 22 February 2011 I had no idea the Dutch could play Cricket. They can't. The English are just REALLY bad
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 They can't. The English are just REALLY bad Ashes. To be honest I am quite shocked by their total but quietly optomstic we will get it.
StanSP Posted 22 February 2011 Author Posted 22 February 2011 Netherlands finish on a very healthy total of 292-6. England need just under 6 runs an over to reach that. Will be quite tough I imagine!
purpleronnie Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 Ashes. To be honest I am quite shocked by their total but quietly optomstic we will get it. Something strange about our inability to play one day cricket, 20/20 great, test cricket great, one day pretty shitty.
purpleronnie Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 Good start lets hope we make it easily. I still have nightmares about how the last game against holland finished.
Corky Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 England were a total shambles in that last ten overs, made a good start in reply though.
StanSP Posted 22 February 2011 Author Posted 22 February 2011 Just past halfway. England are 142-1. Just need to up the RR slightly otherwise we're set for a tight finish!
Corky Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 England bat down to number 10, with some powerful hitters to come, so run rate shouldn't be a major issue.
StanSP Posted 22 February 2011 Author Posted 22 February 2011 England bat down to number 10, with some powerful hitters to come, so run rate shouldn't be a major issue. I was just going by the very basic route of 25 overs - 136 for 1. Double that and they fall about 20 runs short of the target . I think they'll do it. As you say they bat all the way down, and got plenty of wickets in hand.

Because it aint looking good at the minute!
StanSP Posted 22 February 2011 Author Posted 22 February 2011 96 runs needed off 14 overs. Just over 6/over needed.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 96 runs needed off 14 overs. Just over 6/over needed. Tight. Think we still have power play though?
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 Not sure mate. 71 off 10 overs now! Trott Although might not be the worst thing, Collingwood might actually try and put his bat through the ball! Do you think anyone would notice if I just leave work and go and have a pint down walkabout and watch this?
StanSP Posted 22 February 2011 Author Posted 22 February 2011 4 overs off powerplay left, so if they don't get enough runs to cover them from 45overs+ England could be fucked. Just say you had some bad food at lunch and it's not sitting right and you must get out of the office (or wherever you work!)

Just say you had some bad food at lunch and it's not sitting right and you must get out of the office (or wherever you work!) Well I could finish now, can defo finish in 30 minutes it is just I have shed loads to do went early yesterday. If there are still 3 or so overs left at twenty to I might go down. They need at least one really good over off the power play, 7 an over is going to be hard to maintain.
StanSP Posted 22 February 2011 Author Posted 22 February 2011 Bell's bowled! Ten Doeschate works his magic with the bat first and now the ball! 241-4. 52 needed off 7. I don't think they'll do it now! Netherlands have done really well and seems like complacency crept in for England! Would have thought Prior would come in, but it's Bopara instead
