StanSP Posted 28 February 2011 Author Posted 28 February 2011 Netherlands were thrashed by West Indies, losing by 215 runs. But the more important thing of the day and tournament so far was the first hat-trick of the World Cup . He ended on sensational bowling figures of 6-27. And I've just read that it's the first World Cup hat-trick by a West Indian! Well done to Kemar Roach It's also only the 6th World Cup hat-trick.

StanSP Posted 1 March 2011 Author Posted 1 March 2011 Yep Malinga set them up for probably the easiest win of the tournament so far; Sri Lanka reaching their target in only 18 overs. Big match tomorrow! Come on Ireland
cambridgefox Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 7th now as Malinga has just got one against Kenya Does throwing it count!! of the 7, i think he also has 1 of the other 6 hatricks .He hit the wickets with all of his 6 wickets today good bowler weird action, but he proves it works!
Guest BlueBrett Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Really impressed with this tournament so far! That England/India game was unbelieveable. Anybody think we can go all the way?
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 2 March 2011 Posted 2 March 2011 What is going on with some of the irish players hair cuts and dying there hair?
FoxyPV Posted 2 March 2011 Posted 2 March 2011 England are just picking Ireland off. 300+ total at least.
StanSP Posted 2 March 2011 Author Posted 2 March 2011 What is going on with some of the irish players hair cuts and dying there hair? They've done it for a charity called Irish Cancer Society and have called the campaign Shave or Dye. Don't worry, they've not on drugs or anything! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/counties/ireland/9410338.stm
Leicester Lass Posted 2 March 2011 Posted 2 March 2011 The Irish are having a right go here, have got 56 runs off the last 4 overs!
purpleronnie Posted 2 March 2011 Posted 2 March 2011 Pretty sure I could get in this england bowling attack.
ScouseFox Posted 2 March 2011 Posted 2 March 2011 Ireland could seriously win this. Strauss with a drop. .
Leicester Lass Posted 2 March 2011 Posted 2 March 2011 Could be a good finish to this, pretty shambolic from England.
Jackirius Posted 2 March 2011 Posted 2 March 2011 I would back myself to score runs against Englands bowling attack at the minute. Dire performance so far.
ScouseFox Posted 2 March 2011 Posted 2 March 2011 Kevin O'Brien, fastest hundred in world cup history, off just 50 balls
Jackirius Posted 2 March 2011 Posted 2 March 2011 Kevin O'Brien, fastest hundred in world cup history, off just 50 balls Hats off to the guy. Great knock.
StanSP Posted 2 March 2011 Author Posted 2 March 2011 I saw a comment on BBC about how this was a calm match compared to the India match. How wrong he was! COngratulations to O'Brien. 55 needed off the last 54 balls! Damn they lost a wicket
ScouseFox Posted 2 March 2011 Posted 2 March 2011 Silly running, O'Brien gone. 11 needed from 11, new batsman in.
