RonnieTodger Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 I'm 17 and a season ticket holder in the kop. I passed with being an under 16 for the game at scunthorpe because and U16 ticket is £1, the next level up is £18 so I thought I'd risk it and save £17. I'm 6'1 though, so would the man in the turnstiles let me in do you think? Super thanks in advance
StanSP Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 When's your birthday? If it works out, you could say you bought the ticket when you were 16? Unless there's a specific policy where they go by what age you'll be when the ticket is bought Not sure how it works to be honest.
RonnieTodger Posted 3 March 2011 Author Posted 3 March 2011 It was in December, i suppose I could lie, but my friend is massive (6'4 ish) but looks young still and i got him one on the cheap, I suppose if you'd made the effort of going there they'd probably let us in, anyone else done this kind of thing before??
Darkon84 Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 iv bought a few from the internet before using a mates season ticket. i got the cheaper student tickets and no-one ever asked or questioned hehe
muzzy1981 Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 You'll be fine mate, I've passed as youg un for years and i'm 6ft and 30 this year. Nobody ever really checks
Guest Bilo Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 I've never been asked for ID at a ground in my life, obviously don't take the piss by getting an under-18s ticket if you're 25 but a couple of years here and there? They can't be bothered to check it, even less so if you go in with a group as they won't want to hold up the queue.
davieG Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 I've been asked to prove I should have an oldies ticket, mind you it was at Cov
kylestyle06 Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 I have been using student tickets for ages with not once being asked for ID. you'll be fine
Dylan Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 But if you were under 16, what identity could you possibly use to prove your UNDER 16? Only thing I can think off is a passport, but what under 16 carries their passport to a football match?!
Adster Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 You'll be fine mate. I'm 17 and i get in as under16 all the time, and i'm 6"1
evs_the_fox Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 You're all bastards, I've paid £25 for mine For home games I tend to buy online and get under-22s but over the phone this morning I didn't think I'd get away with buying 8 under 16 tickets! Kinda wish I had though. £8 would have been a whole lot sweeter than £200!
The Doctor Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 You'll be fine mate, I've passed as youg un for years and i'm 6ft and 30 this year. Nobody ever really checks god damn it, i payed £18 for my ticket thinking they would and i don't have a chance of passing for under 16.
Nunny Fox Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 i wouldnt worry mate, im 25 n been gettin in on an under 22's for years mate, The zombie on the turnstile probably wont look at u anyway, he will just rip off your stub and grunt, thats what normally happens anyway!!
Leicester Rule! Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 You've just alerted Scunthorpe FC to this - they'll I.D every person entering now.
StanSP Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 You've just alerted Scunthorpe FC to this - they'll I.D every person entering now. Only if they read this.

Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 the stewards have to let you in because theres no proof your not a certain age if you've been served an under 16 ticket then they cant question it because the ticket office who should have your details sold you the ticket - the ticket office have always told me you get what you ask for.
ScouseFox Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 Pretty sure if you've travelled and have a match ticket and no money, there's not alot they can do, as, like what's been said, LCFC have given you that ticket,. Not sure on that, but yeah, doubt you'll have any problems.

samlcfc Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 I bought a ticket from the ticket office at the walkers once. I told her i was 13 for an under 14 ticket. I was actually 17, she just looked at me weird , i dont think any of them can really be assed with the hassle of challenging you
Jackirius Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 Best way is to pay for the tickets and then just pick them up on the day. That way they have no idea what is in the envelope, though you will get in anyway.
izzetafox? Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 I'm 30 and got in as an under 18 for the Bristol game! You'll be fine! ..... I do however pay full adult price but was very skiint!
Dilkes Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 Me and my mates turned 17 this year, so we should get away with it
Fosse Boy Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 May have to sport a yellow replica over a hoody to avoid suspicion.
