Don't tell me it doesn't make you smile when you see it,especially how it hits the bar and bounces a yard or so over. Try taking a pen right footed,but with a left footed run up side footing it to the left (as u look at it) side of the goal. If u do it right it can smash the top corner or b right in the side netting, if u get it wrong it can go miles wide or over.interesting style
davieG Posted 7 March 2011 Posted 7 March 2011 Muzzy used to take a great penalty that was always smashed into the corner of the net. Can only remember him messing it up once and that was against Man U when their twat of a goalie played all sorts of delaying tactics which the ref did fa about.

That's quality but I'll bet he's practised that no end. No doubt you'd probably get slaughtered like Kermo did if it went tits up as well

And no doubt if we find ourselves in a similar situation as last season, then everyone should watch Gally's penalties, and take them like he has. Smash it. Get over the ball and drive it in low.

I'm not saying Hoolahan missed because he is left footed, he just made a prat of himself, but generally there is something that gets at me over left footed penalties. Anyone else slightly agree? I understand if people think I'm talking shit, but nevermind! im left footed, and im shite at pens.....

Nope, i remeber him missing against ipswich at home ( last year at filbo ) We drew 1-1. Week later scored a last min penalty against Derby Also anyone who's anyone should know how to take a penalty. Low and hard in the corner. Never fooking put you foot through it.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 If you go high you don't even need to hit it that hard to make it virtually unsaveable so you really shouldn't blaze it over unless you lack any kind of technical ability whatsoever - in which case you probably wont the the designated penalty taker anyway. Everyone should definitely always just go high!
