thybluefox Posted 23 March 2011 Posted 23 March 2011 A little part of me thinks that it doesn't matter who we have up front at the minute, they'd be struggling to produce with the rest of the team performing under par. We've seen how well he can play when the rest of the team plays well....and its not just up to him to turn our performances around.

As indifferent as we have been since halftime at Derby, we're still creating enough chances to win games, it is the strikers jobs to convert these chances and he hasn't been. With someone on the money that Yakubu is on, with everyone saying "he'll piss this division etc" I'd expect him to convert a goal every other game. None in six is disgraceful, but Sven will never drop one of his boys, no matter how badly they play. Hope he doesn't sign permanently as I'm sure he'll relax even more once a permanent contract is sealed. For the record I don't mind anyone missing chances, six games is stretching it but if they're creating for others or helping out by tackling back, closing defenders down, but I fail to see what the Yak contributes if he's not on the score sheet. He's a passenger & as far as I'm concerned I hope he'll never be our player, I'd even fook him off now, but obviously we can't
Fox92 Posted 23 March 2011 Posted 23 March 2011 He isn't a bad player, he isn't a waste of money. He scores/will score/has scored essential goals for us. Ok, he isn't scoring at the minute but every striker goes through rough patches. He'll be back. It is easy to blame the service he is getting as well as Yakubu himself. Once he starts scoring again, you'll all love him again. If you had said at the start of the season that Yakubu would want to stay at Leicester after a loan, I would have snapped your hand off.
blue blood Posted 23 March 2011 Posted 23 March 2011 Yak wont be recalled and Moyes still thinks we have a really good chance of getting into the playoffs. http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/81260.html
