FrankieADZ Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 someone needs to give him a talking too or something cos at times he looks so relax...im surprised hes not lying down having a kip.
lcfcmart89 Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 You cant fault he's a quality player, but does he really want it for Leicester? seems to lack that extra bit of effort and for his quality he should be hitting the target A LOT more.
somebum Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Who is the 35-year-old? I thought Yakubu was around 28? Well thats what he says... interesting not even Moyes believed him http://on-the-bench.blogspot.com/2008/02/david-moyes-says-what-we-have-all-been.html
Kent Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 You cant fault he's a quality player, but does he really want it for Leicester? seems to lack that extra bit of effort and for his quality he should be hitting the target A LOT more. You're probably right. 20+ goals in a premier league season speaks for itself but his form isn't great at the minute by any stretch of the imagination.
STEVIE B Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 You're clearly a fickle ****. I bet you were fine with him bagging for fun a few weeks ago. Bagging for fun ! 4 goals in 6 or 7 games is hardly prolific, more flash in the pan.Everton couldn't wait to get rid.£24k a week too.

He's a quality player? No. No he isn't. He was a quality player. Big difference. He lacks that bit of effort because I firmly believe he doesn't have it to give. If he did, he wouldn't be here. He'd be at Everton. I'd personally fund his bus fare back to Liverpool. Would anybody like to make a contribution?
AlphaMaleFox Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Bagging for fun ! 4 goals in 6 or 7 games is hardly prolific, Now 4 goals in 12 games
Guest bennytwohats Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Shit today but i still believe he is comfortably the best we've got. Don't want to excuse it today because he was shit, and does look uninterested - i wish someone would have a word, that said he is still a scapegoat for some around here - it was a woeful team performance today, i think the biggest problem was that we had absolutely no shape today and looked completely lost as a unit.
wurmer Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 I'm not sure what people should expect, he's hardly been a prolific scorer the last 3 seasons... 2007/2008 was the last season he banged-em in...
STEVIE B Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Now 4 goals in 12 games Yes,sorry didn't make that clear ! It was 4 in 6,and he was our new Lineker, but as you say 4 in 12 now .If he contributed, then fine, but he isn't.
Guest ttfn Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Yakubu: 949 mins, 4 goals Fryatt: 655 mins, 4 goals. Read into that what you will.
Karljohn Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 I was going to say todays performance was gutless from Yakubu, however the local takeaways appear to have been "feeding the yak" quite a bit in the last 6 games so gutless he's not. He is however a fine example of why overpaid so called quality premiership footballers dont really work at this level, for another case study see Craig Bellamy.
somebum Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Yak has been lazy at any level for years. He's shit.
dannythefox Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 He's not the player were looking for drop him and play waggy.
Larry_LCFC Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 3 words ... Fat. Lazy. Shit. Problem with him is he only there for the money. Any decent player wanting promotion would chase the ball, jump for headers and get shots on fookin target. Gallagher was running for everything today. Yak slows our upfront down and offers nothing to the team apart from a couple of goals here and there. Send the twat back. Thankyou.
the_foxes_till_i_die Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Yakubu: 949 mins, 4 goals Fryatt: 655 mins, 4 goals. Read into that what you will. Not another Fryatt was the best player we had!!! read what??? he's scored the same amount of goals and played 3 games less......so what!!
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 The thing is I think most of us would prefer someone who appeared to be trying, Waghorn for instance? Running around ala Hume, chasing lost causes, putting in 'a shift'. It's ok that Yakubu has a finish now and again, but it's not enough for me. Fat, lazy disinterested he maybe. Time for a change IMO.

Mind you, my ass would look bigger with 50 grand a week in my back pocket. Couldnt fail to notice Dyer perform a lung bursting run to chase down their keepers clearance while Yak stood daydreaming.
somebum Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Can I add the words "pie eating" in between your lazy and shit. No, because he said '3 words'

That's not what I said at all. It's just an interesting stat. Your defensiveness over the issue belies an acceptance that it may suggest something that you don't want to consider.
