There are so many better players we could have instead of him. If he played to his potential every game he could easily 'tear up' defences in this league.. This is why it is so frustrating!

The Thais don't have a bottomless pit of money and his wages will cost us another half million quid if reports are to be believed. We aren't going up this season so surely we should save the money for the summer window. Now is a good time for Sven to look at the permanent players we have, and see what needs sorting for next season.

I'd be looking at sending him back tbh, and I wouldn't be looking at signing anyone else this season, I reckon our season is almost over, let's save our money for the summer, strengthen alot in the summer and go for it next season. If it's true Yakubu's on £40k a week we could be saving nearly £300k between now and the end of the season.

So much for 'Premiership' class. Guarantee Sven will never drop him though. 100% certainty, he can't see a single thing wrong with anyone he brought in. His post match interview with Stringer yesterday about Vitor showed this. Whilst I have a certain amount of faith in Sven & I think he'd be an amazing Premier League manager, the faith I do have slipped after that interview - He knows nothing about creating a good team but everything about good players.

Why would Sven say to the media that one of his players is rubbish or that his team selections are poor!? He might say to his assistant that wasn't the right decision today or sit down and speak with Yakubu about his form. That’s what a professional person would do as I’m sure Sven is. Plus for the record Sven sent Bednar packing when he wasn't up to it.

topharry123 Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 I wouldn't want to send him back now. I want to see him play in all of the last games this season and either earn a contract or leave quietly. We all know how good a player he can be when he's on form. He's not there yet, but my hope is that he'll get there again so give him a few more games and if he can't pick up his form then we should send him back at the end of the season.

In recent games, outplayed by Marlon King, Grant Holt, Dave Kitson and Nugent. Says it all. They're all Premiership has-beens as well (apart from Holt?)!
