hey guys,

im usually a pretty consistent away dayer, but have not made it the last few away matches (Cardiff, QPR, S****horpe) and was wondering how the people that went to these games rating our support. vocal? standing? and of course how much pozanning was going on?

our away support sounded great on the radio. and the numbers have been really impressive. so a tip of the cap from me boys!! :chant:

saw maybe only a handful of people sitting now and again at qpr. rest stood and sang for the full 90.. even when they scored..

We've been excellent standing-wise since Man City away, honestly think we've turned a corner.

Looked over 95% stood at both Scunny and QPR, about 50% at Cardiff.

Had our good moments too, thought our fans at Scunny were excellent.

i agree totally, i think that people realised at man citeh just how much better it is when everyone stands. that was an awesome night.

keep it up people!! :chant:

I've thought that away support has been excellent this season, especially this year. I've only managed to make it to Sheff U and Derby since Man City away but I've been really impressed both times (especially Derby) as the whole end has been stood and singing.

If only the home support would follow suit.

Definitely agree we've turned a corner in terms of standing, large majority stand now. Our big step was getting the front row to stand, as people behind follow. Unreserved seating actually hinders us as all the standers rush to the back leaving those who'd prefer to sit at the front. If it's reserved the 'sitters' are more often than not behind standers and then can't sit down mwahahaha!

Vocally though we're still not up there with the best. We create a decent amount of noise however our songbook is very limited when you think of songs everyone will sing. WYS, Bring on the Sunderland.. etc should be staple songs that every one of us belts out every game. They're more of a luxury when we get good following.

Numbers wise we've been great as well, selling out the last few and taking large following everywhere.

Been good, agree we need to use our unique songs more though.

Only a handful interested in Bring on the Sunderland and Arsenal at QPR. WYS had a couple of good showings though, certainly from where I was there was lots of participation.

I haven't been many away days this year but the ones I have been (Bristol City, Man City & QPR) we were excellent at all of them. Really enjoyed Jobbers drum at Bristol City, shame about the result. <_<

Went to QPR and Scunthorpe, was in the upper tier for QPR and from what I could see it was mostly standing, virtually everyone at Scunthorpe, both behind the goal and the extra section in the side stand was standing too.

Definite improvement this year, standing & singing, well done to all involved.

I've been to Bristol, Cov (poor), Barnsley, Derby. Man City, Scunny, Watford so far and all have been pretty decent.

Bristol City was a good atmosphere especially considering the score, no denying Jobber's drum helped. Erikssons blue army went on for a long period of the 2nd half with the help of the drum.

Right now, I can only really see Leeds with better support, possibly Norwich on their recent showing.

Posted

Was gonna ask if the upper tier at QPR was standing.

Been a improvement since Man City away, just hope it continues.

Reading and Forest away are going to be MASSIVE need to be behind them non stop for 90 mins!

I dont like that ring of fire. Yeh it drowned all the cov fans out for the 2nd half, but sad as I am, I really believe had we spent that half chanting 'come on leicester' or 'attack attack' then we'd have scored

You are joking? You not think footballers realize they should 'attack'.

Top marks for a hilariously bad post.

Ye since the turn of the year our ends have been top, Derby being the stand-out. Play-off game at Cardiff still takes it though and also 1st away at palace was insane.

Posted

got to agree, away thi syear we have been awesome, palace away first game was insane even at 3-0 down we were bouncing,

good to see alot of standers and more getting involved in singing, keep it up and lets take it to home games and get the KOP like it used to be at filbo. :chant::scarf::beer:

Derby away this year for the all round experience will not be topped for a while.

Ibleedleicestercolours- no I wasnt joking. Did you go the cov game?the only urgency shown was from 85 mins. As if they realised the game ended at 90. Standing there going da da da da da da daa lcfc is hardly getting behind the lads and pushing for another goal. Its admitted that having the fans get behind you spurs the team on. The ring of fire doesnt do that. I genuinely believe- ive seen it many times- when getting behind em with chants such as 'come on leicester'ive seen many goals scored.

If you think the ring of fire does get behind the team then maybe your the one whos hilarious?

Its a terrible and pointless song but if its going to be sung then it should be at 3 nil up, not 1-1 when a point isnt good enough

Has our away form turned since our support upped itself? Or has our support upped itself because our away form has improved?

Or maybe they're not linked at all.

I would love to see the stats showing how many goals we have scored whilst singing 'attack' or 'cmon Leicester' bet the ratio is amazing ..

The point we are trying to get across is since Man City away nearly every away game has had 90% plus standing.

Correct. At the time it was really overshadowed as we'd just got back from a few games in Germany but looking back now, fvck me it was tremendous. God bless 5:30 ko's.

Been decent for a fair few games now yeah, enjoying my days out again after some piss showers around Christmas.

I think saying we've turned a corner since Man City is overstating a bit though; unless my memory's playing tricks on me then Sheff Utd, QPR, Derby and Scunny have been places we've had the big majority standing in previous seasons too.

The real test is at shit holes like Reading and Middlesbrough where we usually have a measly few rows, we'll see what happens.
