Tommeh Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Was in family last night due to a free ticket through my work with the club and thought L1 sounded very good, Greque after the goal looked even better than it does from the Kop, really did look fantastic good couple of thousand doing it too. Also, sure I heard Palace sing "where were you at Selhurst park"? A ground we fill every season and are always great at...Especially given their measly 600 odd army, Laughable.

Cracking game that was down there this season.
Dan Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 ^ A video of it in L1 against Norwich, now that is superb, regardless of if we stole it off Man City or not, quality. Side note - went up with the Fosse Boys last night for the first time, main reason being 100% honest I needed to see someone in it to give him some money but I have to say I have mixed feelings - the positives being the Fosse Boys have a very good song range and really do keep at it for 90, I didn't join into EVERY single song (some as I didn't know the words - I won't lie, but what can I do?) but a big majority, definitely considering being back there some time. The negatives - I'm not being funny, are they technically in SK1 right? So that means everyone around them is also in SK1, meaning they've got their ticket in the Kop, the stand specifically designated for fans who want to create an atmosphere. What the absolute complete and utter FVCK. I could not believe the lack of joining in, seriously, an atmosphere stand and there's like no one around it that ever joins in? Some songs I didn't because they were pretty new to me but I hope they'll catch on, but even your regulars like "Come on leicester" just got no response. I've not got a problem with people who want to sit down and watch the game - and admittedly my take on what went on on the pitch wasn't as good as it normally is from the East Stand (largely down to that fvcking screen, what ridiculous placement) but for fvck sake, tickets in the Kop and mouth shut for 90 minutes, and it was virtually everyone. I seriously question and ask, why do you go in the Kop? The Kop sang occasionally, but fvcking hell I couldn't believe the lack of songs from everyone around, quite embarrassing really. Will be up with the FB some time again, thought it was good.

I don't recall the biggest of their last 5 followings here being any bigger than the smallest of our last 5. Not a bad set of fans but always a few who ruin it with shit.

However I would like it noted I was singing along with you all just to your left, on my own most of the time. I probably annoyed the pie and pint couple sat down behind me who said early on that group singing should be in L1.

I do agree about the kop - was much better on saturday, probably because we were winning in nice weather but it's too silent and doesn't really deserve the title kop when you consider the quality the filbert street kop would produce.
Fosse Boy Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Holmesdale Fanatics complimentary about L1 last night. Must say I've been impressed with its noise last two or three games, hope it keeps up. Now if we could get all the Kop's standers/singers over in a more concentrated block, we could have the potential for two great singing areas next season.

Brown Fox Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 That Poznan video is immense! I just hope it builds around the stadium and eventually to SK1 where I sit! how does it look from SK1? surely after a goal or something you can try and convince a few people to do it with you?
The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 April 2011 Author Posted 14 April 2011 The funniest big on saturday was when one of the lads in front dropped his kegs whilst doing it. Made me laugh anyway! Though im not queer though!

Ozwin Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 how does it look from SK1? surely after a goal or something you can try and convince a few people to do it with you? It looks alright tbf but we're pretty much down the side so we can't see the full lot doing it. I didn't realise so many people did it until that video. And SK1 is pretty empty in parts so doing it would look a bit weird haha.
