The Year Of The Fox Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 How many twats are there in there, chanting 'weale' booing ricardo and randomly clapping and shrieking at things? Tossers
TheUltimateWinner Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 I was in the family stand and i couldnt hear anything when they're goal went in, But if there was anyone doing it SHAME ON YOU.
Bugg Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 How many twats are there in there, chanting 'weale' booing ricardo and randomly clapping and shrieking at things? Tossers The clapping is very, very annoying. People in K and L just give up once we're losing, they're hardly interested when we're winning. I swear people just buy tickets there to look cool.
Dylan Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 Anyone know what the chances are of there being any spare seats in L1 to get a season ticket next year? When do this season STH seats stop being reserved?
Webbo Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 I was in L1 yesterday and I was surprised that I didn't hear the Weale chant. There might have been one or two but they weren't near me.
Kitchandro Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 Sadly I have to stand with the lot of them. They really have been complete ****** recently.

There wasn't a Weale chant, but there was a very loud chant of 'W*nker! W*nker!' to Ricardo, and boos as well. And that sarcastic clapping and cheering is so fvcking stupid, I wonder what the players make of that.

It wouldn't be so bad if it stopped after a minute but it just goes on and on.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 20 March 2011 Author Posted 20 March 2011 There will be a couple coming up in l block, row mm.

And that sarcastic clapping and cheering is so fvcking stupid, I wonder what the players make of that. As much as I admit the noise from L1 has been lacking and some what stupid in recent games, the 'W*nker!' chants were directed at the Ref, who happened to be the other side of Ricardo. The clapping was funny at first, but it got old fast and now I think it needs to be stopped.

Because he was definitely being booed just before, and was every time he got the ball in that period. There was also a lot of 'fvck off ricardo's at the time
Reborn Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 If the incident in question was in the 2nd half then yeah, I'm pretty positive. However, there were times he were booed and jeered, but less so than Norwich. Still was an absolute disgrace though.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 20 March 2011 Author Posted 20 March 2011 Unfortunately l block is the only place id have a season ticket. If I couldnt sit there then id not want a ticket
lcfcadam Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 Can someone explain the clapping thing? I'm not if I've been there when that's happened cos I've not been down for a while...
Reborn Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 Basically just randomly applauding everything for an extended period of time (from a clearance to a pass to a 30 yarder off the bar) and shouting out stupid Americanism's like "Footbaaaww" and "D-FENCE" randomly, all the while paying little attention to the game.
Kitchandro Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 Can someone explain the clapping thing? I'm not if I've been there when that's happened cos I've not been down for a while... Only been doing it the last 2 home games.
davieG Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 How many twats are there in there, chanting 'weale' booing ricardo and randomly clapping and shrieking at things? Tossers ....and yet you're quite happy to start topics like this - http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=71843&pid=1824653&st=0entry1824653 which is not even funny. At best it's just another I hate Ricardo topic, at worst it's slanderous.
Father Ted Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 Right, I've not posted for a while now... here goes my new years resolution. But this is something that has really pissed me off and I very nearly made a thread on something similar. My point is: L1 is completely going downhill, it is an absolute joke. We were fantastic last season and at the beginning of this season but slowly since, more and more new faces have been popping up and the atmosphere has been declining. I'm a teenager, yes, a typical L1 chav as some will call them but I am there because I want to sing all match, have a laugh and have some banter with the away fans. Unfortunately of late, more and more young lads, thinking they're from Green Street are determined on coming into L1 just to be in there for the status? What's the point? You contribute nothing to L1. A prime example was against Norwich. Jobber was doing the ring of fire when we were 2-1 down, there was only 5 (FIVE) of us singing. This is a disgrace. Against Portsmouth the atmosphere was ****ing shit despite the magnitude and importance of the match. And that random applause thing - if that's the best people can come up with for an 'atmosphere' they need their heads checking. Now please, if we go a goal down, don't stand there moaning about Ricardo and then stop singing. SING ALL MATCH NO MATTER WHAT THE SCORE. Now, can we please sort this out and sing all game next home match no matter what the score is like we have in previous years. Let's get our L1 back!! Thank you.

Agree with pretty much everything you say. I don't like the ring of fire chant though. I'll sing it for a bit but then it just gets boring and goes on for ages. After a while most people do stop singing it and I can understand that, especially when we're deflated at what's happening on the pitch. I just wish we'd mix the chants up a bit, ring of fire gets too tedious and when you do the same thing for ages it has less impact on the atmosphere. We need to bring back the chants we never sing anymore.

SK1. edit: Ring Of Fire is sung way too fast.
Teeno Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 After being in L1 for all but the first Season at the Walkers, I'm finally heading back to the Kop. As the large majority in L1 are complete and utter retards! All of you that consider it wise to boo your own players, chant for players not in the starting 11, or sarcastically cheer for your own sad pathetic entertainment might as well clear off down pride park and go shagging sheep in your spare time! It's a real sad state of affairs at the moment. We can't seem to get a chant going without some shit drum beat over the top and no one seems to know the words to any of the songs that were regularly sang only a couple of years back, (Molly Malone, Once upon a time there was a Spion Kop etc). Me and a few mates will try and start various chants most weeks only to receive looks of bemusement from the brain dead youth majority that now occupy L1 in their masses. They seem to prefer to clap along to some crap repetitive drum beat, followed by singing the latest generic humourless chant that they've seen on Youtube or Soccer Am. My definition of the word supporter is someone that encourages, motivates and assists. Now although everyone pays their own money to watch the game and everyone is entitled to their own views. For those 90 minutes we all need to be behind them, everyone in their own way, whether that means singing your head off for the whole 90 minutes or simply applauding good play. But those of you that have been booing any of our own players, chanting for players not in the 11 or screaming general negative crap you might as well stay away! None of the crap that comes out your mouths helps the team in any way so please shut the F**K up or clear off! LEICESTER TILL I DIE (not just when it's going well)

SK1. edit: Ring Of Fire is sung way too fast. But surely the older generation in there (and there are plenty of them too) should be attempting to sing them a bit more often so the younger lot have a chance to learn them?
