Yes and how can you blame the defence for Weale's mistakes??? which set up two goals.. More solid goalkeeper and we would have won that game 2-1

You can't blame them for his mistakes, but it's too easy just to look at one reason why we lost. Yes it was the main reason, but not the only one.

Clearly the defence/midfield gives them too much space.

We conceded 3 goals today:

1st - Why did we let a cross in that easily? why was Tudgay between 2 of our men with a free header? A much as Vitor was good today and one of our best players, he can't mark very well, as today showed.

2nd - Maybe Weale's fault for a poor parry, but why was the bloke aloud to shoot? I mean this has been going on all season. They just run at us and we let them shoot. That's not good enough either.

3rd - completely Weale's fault. Though if the player had volleyed it into the top corner, the defence would have to be balmed for letting him shoot.

It's not enough to say we were solid at the back and one howler cost us, because we conceded 3 goals again. The defence isn't good enough.

Well Weale might have been to blame for those goalkeeping errors, but the amount of times there was confusion and mistakes being made by the back line really led to an overall shambolic defensive display.

I fail to see how either of our goals were 'set up' by defenders either... one was from Oakley minutes almost after the ball had been back in our half and the second was, sure enough, from a cross that might have been from a defender, I can't remember, but it was one moment where we got lucky with the keeper spilling it. I never said Naughton had a bad game either... he was probably one of our best players... but 1 player doesn't make a back line.

Isn't good enough or isn't experienced enough? This was the first time these 4 have played alongside each other in those positions. This is Sven's fault. There are going to be small errors that result in outcomes every game but you can't pick and choose. The errors that cost us today were made by Mee for the first goal and Weale for the second and third.

50 - Darius Vassell has scored in 50 separate English league games & today was the 1st time he's been on a losing side when netting.

Played Weale, ruined possibly the greatest stat ever.

Weale definitely at fault for the last two goals- third was an absolute shocker.

Season definitely over now.

Well it isn't good enough, whether that's down to inexperience or whatever. Bruma's not good enough, I'll stand by that, despite not being at fault for any goals today. A Vitor-Bamba partnership might be great given time. Vitor is a cracking player but I have doubts over his height and marking, todays first goal a prime example.

Weale is crap yes, but you can't make excuses for the goals then defence have been at fault for.

I mean can you really defend them letting players shoot so often? That's just not good enough. They shouldn't be allowed that much space.

Thought we had every chance of nicking a third goal and all three points until Weales mistake. Forest wouldn't have been time-wasting if it was still 2-2 and the game would have stayed open. They killed at least four minutes once Weale had f*%ked up.

Yakubu had a mare aswell, but so did a few of them. So much giving the ball away sloppily today it was unreal.

Vitor looked excellent, it's just a shame he's not a bit taller cos he might have got a head on the cross for Forests first.

Absolutely gutted.

play some of the young players from the youth team know give them a run out. send back yakubu, bruma, anholt, and save the money for these players who don't care

Great support, great atmosphere. Weale howler cost us again, maybe could have done better with their second. Oh well. Let just make these last games ones to remember. Get behind the lads, let's just enjoy the support and atmosphere. There's always next year. I just look on it as next season we get more away games than we would in the prem.

In the summer I think Sven has to buy some people, an get a solid squad. Next season is the season, and I honestly beleive that.

Didn't think forrest were special at all. Just took there chances, no chance in them going up.

And if Blackpool drop, then even better news. Weekender.

I doubt Yak will be here next season now.

I had the impression that the option to buy him would only have been exercised in the event of promotion.

I think yak is more of a demand for a big name player for the Thais and that's the best Sven could do at a short space of time. I'm only speculating obviously

Then get a good one?

just got back, thought the atmosphere was quality, just devo'd by the result. what was Weale doing? I hate getting on players' backs and always try and fight their case, but that was pathetic. I think a new keeper has to be our number one priority in the summer. Just hope Leeds can smash Reading and send Forest back out of the PO's.

BTW, what happened in the middle of the stand with the smoke?

I have so much to say to sum up todays events.

Firstly, I thought that our support was absolutely fantastic, the best all season I would say in the first 25 minutes and again when we scored our 2nd, between then it was iffy but still we outsang the scum. The celebrations were completely mental, I fcuked my knee up on the chair in front (even more reason to bring in safe standing!). As for the flare, that was absolutely top class, loved every bit of it - just next time hold it up for longer! :D

As for the scum fans, complete and utter morons. Singing 3-2 in your cup final yet they didn't sing once all game apart from their 20 fans that stood next to the away fans. After the game they were also giving the big one, picking on kids, strutting around as if they'd won the European cup again and swearing at Leicester fans on the other side of the street, fcuking pussys.

Now to sum up our performances. Yet again, individual errors have cost us points and this has pretty much been the story of our season. The first goal, I couldn't see clearly but in my opinion it didn't look like Weale could have done much, but the centre-halfs should not have got split like that and the defender in front (Bruma I believe) should really have done better in the air.

The 2nd goal was 50/50 with the Weale, I think he saw it late as there was a defender in front but he could have at least pushed it wider instead of straight in front of him. As for the 3rd goal, a complete and utter joke from Weale - is he having a competition to see how many times he can appear on 'Goalkeeping gaffes edition 562 - xmas special'.

I now have some players that I have a bone to pick with:

Firstly, Yakubu is a complete and utter donkey. As David Moyes says, defence starts in attack, Yakubu does not do this. The one where he was one on one with their defender and then he just fell over was completely laughable. He didn't even compete for headers in the air and contributed nothing. Vassell has done more down the middle in 3 and a half matches than Yak has in 14/15 odd.

Secondly, Sven was completely clueless again tactically, bringing on Yuki when he did when Oakley was playing well? Bringing on Howard when we were crying out for pace up top? Starting again with that joke of a player called Bruma (yes another loss while he has played)? Keeping King on once again when he's doing nothing once again?

Another point that I have is that apart from Vitor, Naughton, Mee, Wellens and Oakley, what did the others contribute, which brings me on to another point:

Why does Sven in his interview, always after a loss have to say, 'welllllll, you can't blame any individuals, it is a team.' Welllll, for fcuks sake, the same old players are playing shit but you keep playing them whilst hungry and committed players are left on the bench!

I also have to show my disgust at Bruma's radio interview after the match. He claimed that Chelsea send scouts to every match and make notes and assess your progress within a team and as an individual, YET when asked another direct question from Stringer (who really went for it against this clown :appl: ) he claimed that he does not know what these scouts have been thinking of his performances or what they've been saying. Now, does that smell like bullshit because surely, the feedback should be given to the player? He was then asked what he thought about his own performances of late and believe it or not he spoke more bullshit. So cocky and arrogant but can't match that with his performances - piss off. Even if he makes it in the Prem he will be on the most hated footballers list alongside Busquets and Ronaldo.
