MikeyT Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Season for us is officially over now. Time to try and look forward to next season and see what can be done to shape the playing staff.
Guest Bilo Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Priority Number One: NEW GOALKEEPER Priority Number Two: NEW GOALKEEPER Priority Number Three: NEW GOALKEEPER Ad nauseam
Guest DavidJCW Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Pathetic. That was the most disjointed, haphazard and disorganised performance I've seen from us in a long time. None of the players were particularly outstanding, the passing at times was shocking, defending once again non-existant. Good bye play-offs, here's hoping that Sven sorts this shite out over the summer.
The Sven Revolution Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Such a bitter bullet to bit! Yes, season's over. FINISHED. Hope the Thais have the conviction to back another season of the Sven Revolution...do they?
Austin Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Hard to think positive after losing to them lot, but tbh I already thought it was over before today. Thanks Sven for taking us from bottom to looking so close not so long back, fingers cross with a pre season and some new additions to the squad we can make a better effort next season. Lets just make the final 3 games good days out for the fans ehh .. When you're smiling ..
lcfcsnow Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 I thought we played well overall until the calamity made his weekly errors.
New England Fox Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Despite scoring 2 goals I felt like we never looked liked scoring despite some sustained pressure. It took Forest scoring both times for us to actually come alive. I thought Kamara worked hard and Vitor did well but other than that we were very poor. Yakubu was absolutely shocking.

Weale sucks donkey dick! Weale sucks donkey dick!
dave the caveman Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Defence is an absolute shambles. We're missing Chrissy P something awful.
Fox 4 Life Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 New GK and keep Naughton, Mee and Vitor and the rest can do one!
somebum Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 More of the same next season with Sven in charge. He just has an inability to motivate the players, especially at this level. We may hit around the play offs again but our current slump is alarming in the sense that other sides have figured City out. I doubt Sven will last another season.
Asha Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Firstly, those people now wanking off Oakley's shooting prowess () can fuck off. Most of you have been hating on him all season! Secondly, yeahhhhh the only reason we didn't destroy Forest was Weale's slight misjudgment. Let's forget the fact that the defence has been absolutely horrific for quite some time. Point or no point, they play-offs are over anyway.
lcfcsnow Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Defence is an absolute shambles. We're missing Chrissy P something awful. I actually thought the defence was decent today, what can they do when our keeper presents 2 goals on a plate though?
Jonezy Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 What a frustrating season, and that game just summed it up perfectly. At least we won't have any Play-off heartache this year.....
cc_star Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 wow... Vitor was immense, won everything in the air and on the ground. Didn't see anything of Bruma until it looked like he fluffed the header which lead to their shot on goal for the winner Story of our season, in patches we were good.... but for the majority of time we played like a team cobbled together by a manager out of touch with whats required in this division. Priority for the summer is a coach, keeper and a couple of old heads at least one of which must be hard as **** I was pleased to see Mee recalled, but because of the volume of loan signings Sven had to juggle the back line more than he might had to of (to fit in with the 5 max), which yet again left us playing like we'd only just met each other in the changing room before the game. Shocking result, shocking performance at times, shocking coaching, shocking defensive header (I think), shocking keeping. Roll on August 6th
WardyisPukka Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Im sorry but the yak can **** off bk to everton now he clearly doesnt care , makes me sick hows he so lazy and looks like he doesnt give a shit!! I really hope sven buys a foward who will run his heart out for the team cause he clearly doesnt fancy waghorn!! we are just a team of individuals FACT no team

LinciolnshireFox Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Such a bitter bullet to bit! Yes, season's over. FINISHED. Hope the Thais have the conviction to back another season of the Sven Revolution...do they? It's not over until it's over, 3 gamers to go, only 6 points from Play Offs. Ok, I know, I know....but there is still hope. But with this lot of mercinaries, I don't hold out a lot of hope.
Merging Cultures Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Goodness it is exhausting be a City fan! I hope Sven stays and creates his own side. As someone else has mentioned, we should get an additional 1st team coach who can give the lads a rocket and lift them when needed. Champions next season
Petchy Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 I've refrained from commenting on Bruma on the forum before, but today was the final straw for me. The fact is, he CANNOT defend. It's as simple as that. He is always off the pace, never marks up, and has piss poor positioning. 98% of the time he looks disinterested as well. On the flip side, I thought Mee, Naughton and Vitor put in a brilliant effort. This shows us that we DO have players that do work well in defence.. it's just finding a solution to that LCB slot. As for Weale, he annoys the hell out of me. Some games he looks solid and arguably one of the best keepers in the division. Then others, he is a complete contrast. Poor communication from the defence, bad handling and awful decision making. Grrrr. Inconsistency has cost us this season.
cc_star Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 More of the same next season with Sven in charge. He just has an inability to motivate the players, especially at this level. We may hit around the play offs again but our current slump is alarming in the sense that other sides have figured City out. I doubt Sven will last another season. His inability to halt the decline (of his own making) would see managers on lesser 'pay-offs' sacked. For me, he deserves 10 games next year.

None of the players were particularly outstanding, the passing at times was shocking, defending once again non-existant. Good bye play-offs, here's hoping that Sven sorts this shite out over the summer. What? The back four was superb for the most part today. Bruma and Vitor impenetrable, Mee solid as a rock and Naughton looking every inch a PFA Team of the Year nominee. Wellens put in a great shift, Oakley's showing why he was given a new contract and Vassell gave them headaches from the minute he ran on. The disappointments were King who was anonymous, Yakubu who needs to go back to Everton and Weale who should go the way of Paul Henderson and Rab Douglas after the amount of points his gaffes have cost us this season. Most disjointed performance from us in a long time? Worse than Reading last week, Cardiff away, Swansea away, Norwich at home and most games under Sousa? How about Forest away last season? For most of the game we more than matched them today and we were undone by a goal from an epic cross that we could do bugger all about, Weale's characteristic dropping of a long shot and Earnshaw capitalising on the rebound and the kind of error we'd have been pissing ourselves laughing at had the boot been on the other foot. Therefore without Weale's errors, 2-1 win. Not for the first time either. Never mind marquee signings over the summer, what we need is a high end Championship keeper because we have three keepers with experience in the division and not one is good enough to be part of a team with Premiership aspirations.
AndyNorway Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Despite scoring 2 goals I felt like we never looked liked scoring despite some sustained pressure. It took Forest scoring both times for us to actually come alive. I thought Kamara worked hard and Vitor did well but other than that we were very poor. Yakubu was absolutely shocking. Two goals away from home is not bad. Against Reading we did not defend as a team, I think we did better today. We could have won this, but not with personal mistakes like this. I hope the owners dont sack Sven. Not because I love the guy or something, but I think I he got the experience we need. If they sack him, we sacked two managers in a season. Some fans seem to think we are Real Madrid or something.
Kitchandro Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 We didn't play well tbh, Forest were terrible. We were reasonably solid at the back, but gave them too much space. Way too open when they've got the ball. Bruma wasn't bad first half but he turned into a donkey in the second half. Why don't the centre backs ever close shots down by the way? A lot of our players didn't turn up - King, Gallagher, Yakubu, Kamara mainly. The tempo wasn't quick enough. Showed a bit of spirit to get back into it, I must say I thought Sven's team selection and subs were spot on. Weale...what can I say. Terrible. We desperately need a new goalkeeper, once again just because Weale is crap it doesn't mean Ricardo isn't. So angry right now, it was a massive chance to win there in the league finally and we blew it. But yeh, very pissed off.
