Forest Fans

As has been pointed out, some people are dicks. We're not all like that.

We're just pleased to have won a game for a change :D

I think we should be fair and hate all of you lot ;)

Well, that would be fair. :D

Incidentally, I sit above the away fans and have never once seen anything lobbed or spat out from there. That's not to say it never happens, cos I tend to watch the football not the supporters, but I would say that reports of stuff raining down on the away fans are rather exaggerated.

the only thing i saw from the home support inside the ground was a single fat man giving it from the balcony.. However, whatever genious designed the ground felt it was acceptable to let the away fans depart underneath the mongish home fans, happily letting them get taunted and wound up. Now, that would be okay if away fans all left in coaches, but no, we all filed into one line, Leicester and Forest alike, getting abuse. So, i witnessed a Leicester fan hurl some horse s*** into a crowd of Forest, nice.

there is a smugness about forest fans. 2 reasons, 1979 and 1980.

there are 3 reasons why they shouldnt be smug anymore, the years they spent struggling in league one.

There isn't a forest fan I know who can go a whole sentence without mentioning Brian fooking clough!

How can they say that, it's like like us singing ur just a small town in Africa, with there large population off blacks

Oh no you di'in't.

Moron.

your fans were right yobbos at the start of the game walking in, singing awful stuff about brian clough etc...

also extremely poor support in the ground.

even when you were drawing there was no singing whatsoever.

when was the last time you won at our place anyway? tee hee

Oh **** off

I still remember you leaving our ground at 2-0 last season.

So what if your grounds a garden shed it's still got no atmosphere because you inbreds don't sing.

Oh great, this remedial's back. The sad thing is he still hasn't learned that sentences should start with capital letters.

Oh, and in answer to the question.

Some Football fans are such hypocrites I'm as much embarrassed about the behaviour of our fans at times as I am of any others.

grammar attacks and a 1st round league cup win lol

keep clutching onto them straws lads lol

You asked a question, I answered it.

Is LTLF really so dead you have to come on here in a desperate attention bid?

I really hope you're only here because it's the school holidays and your homework is finished to what you consider an acceptable standard, because if you're a school leaver the standard of education in Nottingham is even lower than some of the holiday makers from the place on the East Coast would lead me to believe.

I agree with your first line. I still don't get why some fans sing songs about Brian Clough. At the end of the day, everyone in the ground is a football fan. For me, being a big football fan, I look up to the greatest people of the game, players and managers that have given us joy and have achieved so much success, such as Brian Clough. Whether he managed a 'rival' side, or not, it is disgraceful.

Don't agree with your second line. The atmosphere and singing is always good at Nottingham Forest, from both sets of fans, but especially ours. I am pretty sure we were making noise throughout the game, the only time I remember myself not singing that much is when the third went in -- we were all devestated.

In relation to this thread though, I think that we would be cheering just as much when coming out of the ground, if it was the other way around. Last minute goals or a game with such importance makes fans very happy, including ourselves. I remember walking out of Middlesbrough and their fans singing '3-1 up, you f****d it up' and also Burnley when some of their fans were saying 'thanks for coming, Leicester'. But it happens the other way around as well.

The guy was a tosser, being a great football manager doesn't make up for that.

Please don't argue with Fox92 about Clough, he won't back down.

By the way, I agree, he was a tosser. Just look how he treated some of his players like Justin Fashanu.

I would argue in Clough's defence that he was more 'of his time' than anything malign.

He was arrogant beyond belief but the best managers usually are. Arrogance with something to back it up isn't nearly as irritating as arrogance with bugger all to back it up. He won the league and two European Cups with two nothing clubs that were more accustomed to relegation battles than silverware. You only have to look at the record of both clubs since to realise that it was all to do with Clough and Taylor.

The stick most commonly used to beat him with is his homophobic treatment of Justin Fashanu, which was obviously an absolute disgrace, but he did admit after retirement was his biggest regret of his career.

I don't therefore agree with songs about Clough from our fans and I cringe a bit when I hear them. The man was a legend, I just wish he had proved it with two other clubs so we don't have to be reminded of it by kids who weren't even thought about during their heyday, largely because their dads were still in short trousers. It's almost on a par with Preston fans going on the Invincibles team of 1888 for crying out loud.

Why was he? Did you personally know him, or are you using films such as The Damned United (which was stupid) to back that up?

He was a great footballer. He scored 251 goals in 274 games, that is a sensational goalscoring record. And he was also a great football manager, I'm pretty sure he got promoted with Nottingham Forest and then won the league. Things like that won't happen again.

I just wished he would have been appointed England manager, because my gosh I'm pretty sure we would have won the World Cup again.

Plus, Brian Clough came to support Leicester at Wembley, v Tranmere, when Martin was manager.

Please don't argue with Fox92 about Clough, he won't back down.

I agree with that.

I also agree with the post above by Bilo,

Is this guy kidding?

The Foxes fans did the club proud, no racist chants unlike you and we were extremely loud both when I was sat in the away end and when I watched the match on telly.

I do think it's rather pathetic that a team that has achieved literally nothing in 30 years still thinks they're the top dog. It's not about the past is it? With your moronic, racist chants about Leicester's Asian population which happen to disgust me. I've never really 'hated' Forest. Just keeping up appearances for other supporters but after Friday's shambles I'm afraid I have to agree with everyone else. Your fans are vermin, second to Millwall in the twat rankings.

On the other hand, doesn't it say a lot that a fan of a club that 'DOESN'T CARE' about Leicester would make an account on our forum just to rub it in. To sum up;

1) Your team is no European force anymore. You at best a mediocre second-tier side.

2) Your ground is shocking seriously. I've been to Pride Park, it smells of piss but that anyday over the City Ground.

3) Your fans are largely racist.

4) You're hypocrites.

Have fun choking in the play-offs, Automatic for the Foxes next year. Rant over.

Fair enough Bilo, good point and I accept it.

And yes, the Clough chants do make me cringe as well.

Never seen that film, never want to.

I have however seen many interviews, clips and docimentaries.

He was an arrogant, homophobic, fan-beating drunk. So he comes across as a bit of a tosser to me.

What is this guy on about? We outsang them for the majority of the game especially in the first half. They only sang for about 5 minutes after each goal and after they went 3-2 up.

Atmsophere all round was shoddy, either side only piped up after goals, though as said they were very good at the end and us half decent after the 2nd equaliser. Reckon our end could just about get away with blaming the sun and heat 1st half, I really couldn't be arsed to sing that much mainly down to that and a large thursday night and decent session before hand.

Whilst I'll congratulate them on the noise, they were utter small time jockeys after, looping around like the cvnts they are. Still I suppose anyone under 30 has no idea what winning a cup is like so this is as good as it gets....And to compile it that baking hot football speical that took over half an hour home. What a horror show.

Goal celebrations have left me a crippled man, thank fvck the seasons over maybe now shins, knees ankles can all recover. Shitting seats.

Crowd was poxy also, I'd be very surprised if there wasn't 31,000 inside Filbert way if the roles were reversed, compliments the measly 2k they brought to us earlier in the season.
