MPH Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 What about Roy Carroll? Free agent, only 33. Great goalie. Could at least give him a trial. Good shout.... goals. ...and it's not just the wages, if he's out, who plays then? a different keeper?
TheUltimateWinner Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Roy carroll is suspended after getting sent off in his trial for SHEFF UTD. If he is not good enough for them than why should we sign him?
sdb Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Good shout.... a different keeper? Yeah, i.e. Weale or Ricardo, who've cost us points this season. Unless we sign 2 keepers which would be ridiculous.

Narborough_fox Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 I still can't believe Chris Kirkland made it is a professional 'Keeper at least it gives me a chance of becoming pro.
KingDarius Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 Wigan dont even want him and their crap so that must say something. Be decent back up but that departmants covered i suppose by wobbly weale and slick rick
Brainy Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 I still can't believe Chris Kirkland made it is a professional 'Keeper at least it gives me a chance of becoming pro. theres nothing wrong with his keeping ability
leicesterisme Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 Wigan dont even want him and their crap so that must say something. Fully fit I'd take Kirkland but fully fit he'd be playing in the premiership week in week out for a top half team. I really hope we go for Westwood, good young keeper and obviously will cost nothing apart from wages which I cannot see being a problem coming from Coventry.
phillthefox Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 Westwood Sorensen Kuszack Any of the above will do nicely please sven...... as for kirkland F**K off !!!!!
munf1987 Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 A fully fit Kirkland would easily be the best keeper in this division, But his problem is he just cant stay fit along enough to get going and get confidence back. On that basis i'd give it a miss as you need a keeper who will there throughout the season in the backbone of the team.

MPH Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 Yeah, i.e. Weale or Ricardo, who've cost us points this season. Unless we sign 2 keepers which would be ridiculous. y? we signed how many defenders this year?
Bob.For.The.Win. Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 I really don't rate Kirkland at all! It's rarer to see him actually 100% fit than to see him injured.
sdb Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 y? we signed how many defenders this year? So you seriously suggest we pay good wages for a back up keeper? We need to buy 1, very good, fit goalkeeper. Why confuse things? And yes, we've signed lots of defenders this season. As a direct result we've shipped goals left, right and centre, throwing away the momentum we'd built up to mount a promotion push. Kirkland - no Injured keepers - no mediocre keepers - no multiple keepers - no quality > quantity
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 6 May 2011 Posted 6 May 2011 No, I do not want to see him back here, playing for us. Nice guy, but far too injury prone.
Steven Posted 6 May 2011 Posted 6 May 2011 No, I do not want to see him back here, playing for us. Nice guy, but far too injury prone. Quite.
