The only realistic chance of us getting him in though is if no Premiership clubs, or low profile Premiership clubs, go in for him and Sven can use his persuasive skills. It seems bizarre that Cardiff have let him go seeing as it's far from certain Bellamy will be back there next season. I actually don't know as much about Burke but he seems to be highly rated. These could be two released players that would be worth a punt, seeing as Cardiff appear to be releasing players for reasons other than playing ability. Really? Bothroyd has always come across really well on interviews and Bellamy has said he wants to go back there next season.

artursteppe Posted 24 May 2011 Posted 24 May 2011 Just a thought guys - if I were Bothroyd and I was looking for a new club, I would talk to Everton and any other Prem club who showed an interest in me to see about a contract, how much the deal was worth, and assess the chances of first team football. I would also speak to Sven because he is a quality manager and may even be able to persuade me to sign for Leicester City with the offer of a deal, with a chance of playing Prem football next season. I'd listen anyway. If I was Sven I would want to talk to someone like Bothroyd 'cos he might want to sign for us with the right deal. If he didn't want to come, and Kamara looked a better value option, I'd sign Kamara 'cos he is quite similar and may not cost as much in wages. These are the sort of things that our manager is probably assessing right now, across all sorts of options., init?
