Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 June 2005 Posted 10 June 2005 Personally I dunno. The football fan in me says that it's a horrible time for your club which you wouldn't really wish on any other team's fans. However, it never really seems to be the final death knell for any club. It would be pretty amusing to see them in administration after all the shite that we put up with from them when we went in. Can't decide.

It annoys me how other clubs, fans, and officials treated our club when we were in admin but to have it happen to them isn't really going to be like 'getting them back' as they'll always find a justifiable reason for it, like Ipswich. It's not as if they'll go 'oh we understand now and we're sorry for being such ****s when you were in admin'. What does annoy me though is that I've heard and read several Derby fans saying it would be a good thing to go into admin as they could get rid of some debt and would probably wouldn't get relegated with their squad anyway (there were rumours of them doing it last season when they had enough points). When you think we were 24 hours from going out of existance because of our debts but other people would use admin as an excuse to get rid of a bit of them, it really angers me.

The majority of Derby and Forest fans did feel sorry for us when we went into administration, the ones who were bitter only were so because we continued to perform well. howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 10 June 2005 Posted 10 June 2005 If derby went into admin, they'd probably have to lose their best players, more than likely get relegated and we'd be in a league without our two biggest rivals, which fair enough in the prem you have games to look forward to every week,but in the championship you don't have the big draw games, in my eyes derby at home will be our biggest game this season, and im rambling on, so i'll stop now

Anish Posted 10 June 2005 Posted 10 June 2005 No. It would affect the ordinary people at the club more than anyone else - those who work in the club shop, ticket office, tea ladies, etc etc. These people would lose their employment and football rivalry shouldn't stoop to such a level where it could hurt the ordinary employees of a company.
