Plastic fan?

Quite shocking how many people actually care about so called 'plastic' fans. Didn't realise the majority of this forum were aged 9. NU ERGH, IM A BIGGER SUPPORT THAN YOU, LOOK I EVEN HAVE AN LCFC TATTOO. Bellends.

Quite right... Just another variant on the look at me "i'm a better supporter than you" bullshit.

I go to quite a lot of away games and whenever possible prefer not to sit/stand with our away supporters. Occasionally I get some stick for not being a 'proper' fan and not 'getting behind the team'.

This is my preference, simple as.

Can I ask why? Don't have an issue with it, just curious.

Haha, THIS ^^^

I was trying to sum up a good way of putting it, but you got it spot on. Its pathetic, people trying to make themselves appear better than others, and moaning that not every person in the world supports City.

Middle aged men who wear replicas with stupid names on the back of them, now that's plastic.

That's right!! Now make sure you get your ticket for Madrid, we all know it's the only time you ever come to watch the City.

For me plastic fans are the ones who ring up Radio Leicester 5 minutes after a game has finished having not bothered to go to the game and then begin to spout utter drivel based on the Stringer commentary.

Really pisses me off.

Yes it is cringeworthy. I'm fed up of these Man U fans laughing at me when Leicester lose and calling us shit, but all of a sudden, Leicester are their 2nd team and they will be watching them against Real Madrid.

Fcuk off.

When do the weal madwid tickets go on generwal sale? Anyome know?

Our owners paying to get one of the worlds best teams to come to OUR ground to play a match that will hopefully increase the profile of the club and hopefully encourage new people to follow the club.......

DAMN PLASTIC FUNKING OWNERS!!!

Plastic? Aren't they just tossers?

I'll be well pissed if I see any other shirt bar Real Madrid or Leicester. Bound to happen though.

One of the things that really hacks me off is this. Seen an Arsenal shirt at Filbert Way this season and a kid in Chelsea trackies and gloves, wish I'd have said something to the parents tbh, I mean wtf goes through your mind when you get ready to go to the football and your son pulls on his Chelsea stuff, I mean come on...

Generally speaking I do not much like the way many supporters behave, foul mouthed and abusive behaviour does not do it for me.

I stear well clear of L1 at the Walkers and buy the best seats I can get at away games, getting a better view of the game is also an advantage.

I think it's shocking at how many people get offended by the term 'plastic'.

The majority are quite aware what it means and everyone knows themselves whether they truly care about the Club. If you're not a plastic fan don't bother having an issue with people using the term, because you know full well that we do have plastic fans who come out of the woodwork when we're playing someone big. I know I care about the Club more than them and I know I'm more of a fan than them. Some of them are good friends of mine. I respect them as people but as football fans they're pretty pathetic.

And I let them know about it.

Valid, I can see the advantages. Don't reckon I could keep quiet when we score though.

Me neither....

Depends on the circumstances, some games I get chatting to the 'home' fans and let it be known that I am a City supporter. Often this is accepted and we chat about our respective clubs, quite informative on occasion, I am also a 'football fan' and have no problem clapping good play even if it is by the opposition. I clap and cheer if City score and do so in a non-aggressive and non-abusive manner and hardly ever have problems.

Generally I am not sitting among 'hard core' fans but on the occasions that the locals are less than friendly I simply applaud good play from both teams and stay relatively low key. I have had to move on occasions, but this is rare most fans are pretty decent.

In addition to the points already made, I object to paying good money to be stuck in some wretched corner of the ground with poor views and I object to being hearded about by police and stewards. All in all I find travelling independently and sitting where I like (usually) to be more enjoyable than the alternative.

Ugh, pedant.

"Nobody thought these tits were all me" was just a bit of a mouthful...

... and yeah yeah, mouthful of boob, hilarious!
