Personally i think we need a striker with pace or an out and out goalscorer like yakubu.

Ipswich are the dark horses this year. They have more money than most people assume. Probably as much as ourselves. With Wickham heading outwards, and a pot of undisclosed money, Jewell is after just about the same prospects as ourselves. I mentioned this in my bloggins Much Ado About Everything awhile back, but I'll take every opportunity to boost my ego and call it right I'm sure there's something to it.

He only played for Blackburn because they didnt have any other options, he is not rated there even a little bit, we could deffo get him. All the fans I know cant wait to get rid, they dont even think he would cut it in the championship. I think he would be good but as my friend says the only time most people see him is on highlights ...which means hes scored the rest of the time he is crap and cant hit a barn door. Surely he would put a fair few in at this level though

When they hired Keane, he was reported to be the 5th highest paid manager in the entire of English football. Of course when he left they had to pay him off. I remember reading something when they got took over that they had plenty of investment. I don't know the details sadly. But they have a fair wedge to spend and more when Wickham gets bought. If he doesn't go, their striking options are still pretty damn good should they hit form.
