banko71 Posted 17 June 2011 Posted 17 June 2011 So we are off to the Ricoh comedy stadium as our first away day. What do you think are allocation will be.It has been around the 4500 to 5000 mark in the past but as they could not fill an egg cup does anyone think that we could get anymore
chavdonk Posted 17 June 2011 Posted 17 June 2011 leeds got 7000 last year didn't they? i think if we needed that many we'd get it
Brown Fox Posted 17 June 2011 Posted 17 June 2011 I think we should get 5000 initially then we should sell that out. Hoping we can take around 6000 if they let us. I know it's funny to laugh at cov with their shit attendances but it would be so much better if there was a crowd of over 27,000 for that game. It'd maybe give it more of a derby feeling.
h1210 Posted 17 June 2011 Posted 17 June 2011 We've taken less than 5000 the last couple of years (didn't see the figures for the season just gone but our attendance seemed well down on 09/10) so I can't see us taking that for the first game of the season. People will still be on holiday and it's the Ricoh etc. I don't think I'll be going again after the poor matches/lack of pub action/crap atmosphere every time I've been before.

banko71 Posted 18 June 2011 Author Posted 18 June 2011 well you will need two seats for yourself Thats a bit rich coming from you Has anyone ever told you about throwing stones in glass houses
Dan Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 I feel if this ain't on TV we'll manage to sell 5,000. They give you 5,000, never used to give us the extended to 6,200 when we needed it, for some reason.
Austin Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 Should hope we'll sell out our end, we'll be top of the league on day one for Goal difference anyway Yak'll stick a hattrick past them, followed by a Yuki Abe overhead kick Izzet style ( )
Scow Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 I dunno; somewhere between 2,200 - 4,700 based on whether we play 4-4-2 or 4-3-3.
tylesta Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 will be defo 100% going to this. few questions.... what are the police like in cov nowadys. if i got there early enough could i get in a pub do they still stop you in nuneaton on the trains do you get escorted back to nuneaton station to be put on the train?
lestajigs Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 Defo going to this, I can see us taking 4000 if it's not on tv
Ashley Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 will be defo 100% going to this. few questions.... what are the police like in cov nowadys. if i got there early enough could i get in a pub do they still stop you in nuneaton on the trains do you get escorted back to nuneaton station to be put on the train? Usually nobs and yeah they stop you at nuneaton ty.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 Glad we've got this lot away first game. I can't make the match anyway and it's a horrible (and expensive) away day. Even if we had the Real Mardid team on loan for the game I wouldn't be wasting nigh on £40 for this fixture; opening day or not. As for the game being live; well the chances are slim, there are two which will probably be dead certs: West Ham-Cardiff Soton-Leeds If there's a third game then I can see us being in a three-way battle for that live slot, against Derby-Birmingham and Brighton (Poyet, new stadium, promoted) against Doncaster.
samjohnson Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 Im honestly debating whether to go... Ricoh-ty stadium is shite, their fans couldnt understand the word banter if it slapped them in the face and everything is highly overpriced. Warwickshire police are absolute c00nts aswell.
lcfc"weasel" Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 will be defo 100% going to this. few questions.... what are the police like in cov nowadys. Cvnts. if i got there early enough could i get in a pub Yes. do they still stop you in nuneaton on the trains They don't force it on you, last season you were more than welcome to go through to Coventry, and unlike the 2 years previous, the free bus service from Nuneaton stadium to the Ricoh wasn't running. do you get escorted back to nuneaton station to be put on the train? Didn't happen last season but happened the two previous times before.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 i'm 100% going booked on the coalville supporters bus for cov, rotherham and forest away sorted some cheap away days there
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 if its not on TV we will take the full 5'000 i think but if it is maybe 3'500 to 4'000 or so
Guest Bilo Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 Their ticket pricing is a bit rough, discounts apply to young kids and OAPs only which wouldn't be so bad if the pricing wasn't poor to start with. It's very rarely a good away day because of the Ricoh's location as well and with Forest and Derby in our division now, Coventry have ceased to be on our radar so much. No more than 4k.
Dan Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 First away aged 18, I'll be going for a kids ticket. Same for Forest, fvck paying full whack for these pair of bastards.
Bugg Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 First away aged 18, I'll be going for a kids ticket. Same for Forest, fvck paying full whack for these pair of bastards. Good luck with that, I had an under 18s ticket (when I actually am under 18) and they starting trying to get a proof of ID to let me in the ground even though I didn't have any on me. Luckily they gave up after a while and let me in.

Luckily they gave up after a while and let me in. They were a bunch of bastards. Checking them even before you reach the turnstiles, joke really. You coud buy a student one at LCFC over the phone with no prrof but when it came to the day you needed ID! I am 19 and got in as under 18, mainly because my Dad is a legend and managed to get me in under the radar really!
Brown Fox Posted 20 June 2011 Posted 20 June 2011 At forest if you go with a bunch of your mates then they're bastards on purpose. I went with my dad and my little brother and they didn't even think to check my ID even though i was 18 and got an under 18 ticket
