Hello Leicester! Palace fan in peace.

You might have heard of last year's Palace On Tour Day in Coventry. The day was organised purely via our two fans forums (www.cpfc.org & www.holmesdale.net) and was a huge success. The attendence was boosted from 700 to 3000. This year we are looking to do even better.

Here are some videos from last year:

A poll is currently running on www.cpfc.org which shows that Leicester is the present 2nd preferred fixture to hold POTD2. Our owners, known on the forums as CPFC2010, have suggested that maybe Leicester could do a deal with Palace, where away tickets between us two would be cheaper than average by a significant percentage. That way both sets of fans benefit.

The aim of POTD is to show the rest of the country how we think people should support a club properly (different people may have different opinions over which style). We try and bring a carnival atmosphere with as many people as possible. Therefore it is not "Sarf Landaners looking for some beef", it's about the football (and maybe a few beers).

Reasons for picking Leicester have been that it is a long way away in terms of date (November) so lots of planning and publicity can occur, easy access, big away allocation, and Leicester itself. However, Nottingham Forest are currently 3rd overall and closing fast, and rivals Derby are ahead. I've never been to either the City (or is it sh*tty?) Ground, Pride Park or Walker's before, but don't really mind which. Actually would prefer Burnley or Blackpool!

Good luck for next season!

Good idea, anything to drive down ticket prices.

We usually take decent numbers to your place anyhow, love selhurt park. Proper football ground.

Not sure that will go down too well here, they do not seem to understand the meaning of atmosphere and if it involves standing, flags or anything organised by more than a couple of fans then I can't see you getting much co-operation or if you do they'll probably change their minds on the day of the match and eject you for looking happy.

Don't worry. At Blackpool and Barnsley away last year when the stewards tried to eject us, "If you love Palace stand up!" erupted. The pr*cks didn't know what to do! :D

This is why I like Palace.

Nice to know. :)

That's true, but your plan consists of doing things like getting the prices lowered etc... and that's where you'll fall back, the club are a fvcking joke as regards to that, literally never heard of one as anti-atmosphere of ours, not yet anyway.

Hope it comes off, cannot wait for Palace on 2nd January, one of the first games I looked out for, class away.

18 this season :D

That time of the season looks fvcking brilliant, Pompey at home on New Years Eve, no game on Jan 1st which is good due to a hangover, Jan 2nd, arguably the best away in the division.

Timing is spot on.

Luckily you've got a quiet game.

We had Millwall on New Year's Day this year, now we've got them New Year's Eve, both at The New Den!

Can I ask what's the situation on Neil Danns from your area? Anyway, this idea would seem a good move imo.

We have no ****ing clue! We'd like him to stay. He was very inconsistant at the beginning of the season but was absolutely brilliant by the end. Not good enough for Premier League. Looks to be going to SPL (Rangers or Celtic).

The ticketing idea was brought up by Martin Long who created Chirchill Insurance and is co-owner. It's had a good response from Palace fans a well.

You'd be surprised lol

Pompey fvcking hate us.

Small-time beauts.

IMO mate that's a cracking idea. I'm sure our club would be more receptive now than 12 months ago too.

I think Top and co would be but... Kevin Barclay, will he?

Will he fvck.

Don't think he gets much of a say in ticket prices and the likes mate, granted he'll more than likely try and **** anything organised by the Palace lads though.

Don't you worry. We'll find a way. Many have tried to stop the Holmesdale Fanatics since its creation 6 years ago, none have succeeded.

Take Hull away as an example. 50 were kicked out, banners torn up etc. They all got back in.:crylaugh:

At QPR the guys who were kciked out had a street party. :trumpet::beer:

Not to mention Millwall... :frusty:

Why won't Leicester be able to co-operate? Our owners are all great lads who talk sense.

Oh and this video gives a better answer.

with regards to the ticket idea i'd think it's possible city will be able to co-operate, Top & co seem to have their heads screwed on in terms of looking out for the fans.

However we have the most backward thinking chief of security in football:

sitting in the wrong seat? 5 game ban

Touching a steward? ejection and a ban + a trip to the cop shop

Appealing a ban? Increased ban length

Attempt to enter the ground wearing a certain scarf? Denied entry

Bring in confetti? Confiscation due to fire hazard (in a no-smoking stadium)

I've seen all this happen in the last 12 months.

The site of the that emtpy RICOH in your videos is depressing, theres just nothing going for that club at all. It just looks awful.Good effort by you lot though.

So, would leicester fans be able to come down too? Sorry if thats been answered already! Palace at home tends to be done with cheap tickets anyway- kids for a quid, cheaper entry if you collect the leicester mercury vouchers.

Which team is top of your list if we're 2nd?

He already said that Derby's top of the list - for god's sake cpfc, don't do anything that would bring more of your fans to Derby, up there with the world's direst places. Do it here, would be fun and would be nice to see Barclay running around in a flap when you crack a flag out... :)
