Karljohn Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 Cov lost Gunnarsson to Cardiff so maybe their is a little bit of truth in them looking for a midfielder or two, doubt it will be Oakley, they have a couple of players similar in Deegan and Baker who wont be on Oakley's money put together, that will suit them down to the ground seeing as they havent got any cashflow whatsoever.

The guy has taken this club for a ride for years. Who cares how nice he is? the job is to be effective on the pitch not be a great lad around the training ground. Has to be the least inspirational captain in my lifetime. I'd cheer him out of the city. And as for sticking through thick and thin...who ever tried to take the huge burden off us? That said keep up the good work on transfer news lads

Walshy5 Posted 9 July 2011 Posted 9 July 2011 I think Oakley gets alot of unfair stick sometimes and is not as bad as people make out. Ok he,s not good enough to play week in week out in a promotion chasing team anymore but he,s a decent squad player to have and can do a job if required. Plus i imagine he,s a good influence in the dressing room. Seems a nice bloke and got his head screwed on.
