FoxesAreBlue Posted 16 July 2011 Posted 16 July 2011 Does anybody know when they get sent out? Or because I have a few direct debits left to pay will they just send me individual match tickets until it's paid in full?
FoxesAreBlue Posted 16 July 2011 Author Posted 16 July 2011 As in the electronic swipe cards? Shame really, call me old fashioned but I quite like the idea of handing the ticket over to an actual bloke in the turnstiles - give the whole thing a sense of history... Kind of, ah well I suppose it's all part of the "matchday experience" I keep hearing about!
stix Posted 16 July 2011 Posted 16 July 2011 If it is a swipe card then its a dead cert that i will either lose it or snap it in my pocket!
lifted*fox Posted 16 July 2011 Posted 16 July 2011 I'm glad it's going to be a swipe card from now on. I'm ALWAYS forgetting my season ticket, walking half-way to the ground & then having to run back and fetch it. A swipe card will fit neatly in my wallet, which I'm MUCH less likely to forget. It'll be nowhere near as bulky either. Happy days.

FoxesAreBlue Posted 16 July 2011 Author Posted 16 July 2011 Try them money clip things that can hold a couple of credit cards too you, my mate swears by his and doesn't mind looking like a tool when he whips it out - he is minted tho so usually don't care

I dont think it would have the same effect with me....

Ha ha - no I think there's a clip at he back, to be honest I don't look too closely, when I see his many millions and then look in my flat limp empty wallet a small part of me cries inside and thanks phil, I'll keep an eye out this week!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 As in the electronic swipe cards? Shame really, call me old fashioned but I quite like the idea of handing the ticket over to an actual bloke in the turnstiles - give the whole thing a sense of history... Kind of, ah well I suppose it's all part of the "matchday experience" I keep hearing about! Completely agree with that. Its amazing how the little things do matter to the fans. Yeh, swipe cards next season and I guarentee I will lose mine
FoxesAreBlue Posted 17 July 2011 Author Posted 17 July 2011 Glad somebody agrees with that, it seems trivial but it's just one of thosething that I think I'll miss, as much as I know football needs to progress into this commercial era, what with giant screens to sponsor corner kicks and digital adverts to get kore revenue streams in, unless I'm missing a trick here, surely there can't be much revenue generated from electronic tickets - at first I thought of the money saved on staffing costs, but as I remember from the man city game and other electronic entry grounds (west brom and Bolton if memory serves?) there are usually staff there to help get dullards like myself through anyway, so why not keep them out of the rain and in the turnies!?
Scow Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 I hope the new system is more reliable than the one operated at Filbert Street...
thybluefox Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 I certainly won't be keeping mine in my wallet! Something that costs between 300 to 700 quid will be left at home in the week
FoxesAreBlue Posted 19 July 2011 Author Posted 19 July 2011 Got home from work today and there, on the kitchen table was a small package in Royal Blue wrapping - with my name and address precisely just-off centre in the viewing window, I thought to myself... it isn't... could it be? Is today finally the day? I opend the celophane sealant with bared breath, almost unable to finally hold in my hands my ticket to freedom for all next seasons games but.... NOOOO it's was a stupid Internet banking card reader from my new bloody bank account... WOUNDED!
He's not bald Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 Anybody had their ST posted out yet? Know there is still plenty of time but we usually have them by now I think
accessory Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 Some of us are still waiting for Real Madrid tickets..
absolutelegend Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 Anybody had their ST posted out yet? Know there is still plenty of time but we usually have them by now I think I had a receipt through the post to say they had taken my money, but no ST!
Bert Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 Just seen the ticket booklets now. On the front, it's White with "Leicester City Football Club" on it. On the card is a barcode, seat details and the badge.
He's not bald Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 Now somebody has to stick all 14000 into envelopes and post them, whoever gets the job tell them I know a good solicitor for their repetative strain injury claim!
Bezzanator89 Posted 23 July 2011 Posted 23 July 2011 Just got an email from the LCFC ticket office after I made an enquiry about the new season cards: Due to an upgrade on our system there has been a slight delay in getting the season tickets sent out in the post to you. The season tickets have now arrived at the Ticket Office and these will be sent out to you prior to the start of the season. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Bezzanator89 Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 Is there anyone that has not received their new season tickets/cards yet for the upcoming season? I for one, have not received mine yet and since we're now in the final countdown to the new season, can't help but wonder when it's going to come through my letterbox. I did originally send them an email about the Real Madrid game before moving on to asking about the season cards. Here's the email thread: Good afternoon, I have very recently renewed my season ticket in the South Stand (SK2). I am interested in purchasing tickets for the friendly vs Real Madrid and tried to purchase them online, but apparently I don't have a season ticket, even though I renewed it in March. Since I've not yet received my new season ticket in the post, how will I be able to buy the tickets for the friendly? I do have the receipts from when I renewed the season ticket on 19th March 2011 (straight after the home game vs Portsmouth) if that helps. Hope you can help me as I wouild really like to get the tickets as soon as possible. Any help would be appreciated! --------- City Response Thank you for your email. The number you have received is the number you generated when you registered on the new website. Please login again with your reference number from your season ticket, your surname and postcode and this will enable you to purchase tickets for the Real madrid match. Kind regards Jim Ticket office --------- Thank you for your response, the matter has been resolved and am able to book tickets now! As an additional query, when will be expecting to receive my renewed season ticket in the post or will I need to pick it up at the ticket office? --------- City Response Thank you for your email. We are waiting on the new season cards to arrive, and hope to send them out in July. Kind Regards Jim Ticket Office Left it as that for a while...until about 3/4 days ago when I raised the problem again. Hello and thank you for your previous response about the season ticket/card update. When are the cards being sent out? Just thought I should ask as the new season is already fast approaching! If need be, will I need to come to the stadium to sort it out? ----------- City Response Thank you for your email. Due to an upgrade on our system there has been a slight delay in getting the season tickets sent out in the post to you. The season tickets have now arrived at the Ticket Office and these will be sent out to you prior to the start of the season. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Kind Regards Lucy Ticket Office Has there been anyone else that hasn't received their season cards yet?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 ive just payed for membership a week or 10 days ago and ive had the 5 tickets through the post but not my membership card yet? They did say something about a slight delay regarding the cards on the phone but like you say it is getting very close to the start of the season . . . . . .
samjohnson Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 Still waiting... It sounds like the curse of the electronic ticketing system and Leicester City Football Club...
marko Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 I can't understand why people are getting so worried about not having their season ticket yet. It's not like you can use it before the 13th August.
