If the Owners plans are to make us big in Asia then it's almost a certainty as they'll need to cater for multiple languages, location based advertising, global merchandising sales... I think a good example is Man City they have one system that supports http://www.mcfc.com and http://www.manchestercityfc.ae (the arabic site).

You can't buy out the highlights they're part of an ongoing FL contract for all clubs.

I'd imagine they provide a content management system which the club staff use to update the website themselves.

Lots of those annoying ads are gone, it looks much better on the eye now. A sign of things to come...? Manchester City's website is the way forward - hope we can emulate that at one point in the near future.

@cheyette Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 Considering the owners industry is retail and they've already gone about improving the megastore- i'm sure they are planning on really improving lcfc direct and including it within an impressive website. I think the whole commercial side of the club will improve including getting a top company to design the kits (nike- adidas) next year. I think they are doing a lot of work promoting the club in asia making it an asian super club- which will bring in lots of money to the club- if we can even get a fraction of the brand/ sales that Man U, Liverpool etc get then it will really push the club towards being seen world wide as a super club- and to do all this we need to have our own independent website- so yes i recon we'll get one this season- if not definitely next when we are in the premier league.
