Not just this forum. I've seen it all over the place from young and old. Thought it was an American spelling but no, us Brits do it too.

Spell it right or be deported. (see General Chat UK Citizen test)

Does this really deserve an article? Maybe people just mistype the word get over it.

Well said.

Another one that winds me up is would/should/could OF instead of would/should/could HAVE.

As in, " If we had scored more goals we would OF won." Wtf does that mean? It's " If we had scored more goals, we would HAVE won."

We could OF won easily = We could HAVE won easily.

You lose kudos when you loosely interpret the thread categorisation to your own ends because this thread should be in General Chat not the Leicester City forum.....

Then people should learn to proof read. I can deal with complicated words being misspelt, and even the vast majority of grammatical errors, nobody's perfect, but it isn't hard to go back and double check for simple errors is it.

Edit; I am in no way responsible for any errors contained in this post

it just bugs me that's all, yes I don't bother with capital letters but that is because i'm amazing and choose not to. i'm not a grammar nazi but just can't believe people make such basic errors.

also to and too, it's easy. i'm too good to bother explaining.

That is atrocious, English. You have just stated, that people,, maybe just incorrectly type the word, "get over it" That is three words, and they have nothing to do with the subject. Go back to infant school.  .

While we're being grammar nazis, can people stop misusing the word "then" please? I keep noticing sentences like, "We were better then them." "He had more chances then him." It's THAN. Not just on this forum, it's all over the internet.

I'd rather we played quick, short passes than just hoofing it down the pitch, then we might win more matches.

Also, let's kill the phrase, "my bad". It doesn't make sense. It's, "my fault".

Rant over :)
