timob Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 i was at the forest game a few weeks ago and heard the forest fans singing the chant 'you used to be english, you're not any more' i dont get it yeah we have been brought out by foreign owners but its not as if were playing our games in thailand and its not as if we have loads of foreign glory supporters like the likes of chelsea man united and liverpool and no body mocks them for being non english clubs , i mean im guessing its jealousy and bitterness for us being promotion favorites,but i was wondering if this a one off is this a regular chant by opposing fans ............................. oh yeah and well done for abusing that fat ass forest fan in the stand to the left (black shirt, bald guy).

A lot of work has gone into tackling gun crime in Nottingham, the days of 2001-2003 are a distant memory now thankfully. It's still rough as fcuk in St Ann's and the Meadows, but nowhere near as bad as it was.

BlueSi13 Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Sadly in my experience, usually when i meet people from the UK and i tell them that i'm from Leicester i'll get some sort of comment about the ethnic makeup of the city...examples being...."so i hear Leicester has loads of Asians"/"Aren't whites the minority in Leicester now?"/"Your not from Leicester, you're white" It's sad and i can tell the majority don't mean it as an insult but of course it rankles. No doubt people from Bradford get exactly the same thing. Just ignore it mate

There is also a growing number of Turks and Cypriots living there, too, they can hardly talk really. Don't see what's wrong with being asian, black, white whatever. They've always been chanting sh1t like that.
