Brown Fox Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 Banning it is ridiculas though. Things happen all the time and people say 'oh this should be band', no. If you are going to ban this, then you need to ban everything that offends someone - such as, calling someone fat, calling someone old, calling someone four eyes because they have glasses, saying someone is different etc. Its just a bit of banter at the end of the day, and if we (not you because I'm not pointing fingers, or else) dish it out then expect to get some back. I don't agree with it all but it makes the World go around, even Jeremy Clarkson said that. Because, if all this banning goes on, we'll all have to watch what we say, you know. The World is not equal, everyone is different and thats a good thing. The World would be stupid and boring if we couldn't say anything to anyone because it offends someone else. In simple terms, if you want to talk, go through and try to ban a couple of people, then you've got to go through and ban everything. Try telling jokes then, but you won't be able to, because it will always offend someone. Wait untill we are away from home and someone sings 'you fat ba**ard like at the Forest match, you've got to ask for them to be band because it offends the person. Yeah agree it would be impossible to ban everyone who sings anything offensive and where would a line be drawn? It was just the way how in your other post you kind of passed racial chants off like they were nothing and in the same category as that Brian Clough song when they are 2 very different things. Also the bit about if somebody is fat and they get offended, well that person can change from being fat and lose weight etc. if they want to. I cannot change my colour so for someone to take the piss out of me for no other reason than the fact I am more tanned than them pisses me off, though I accept that I've only ever heard any shitty racist chants at Forest and Millwall because they're all twats.

The same people who take the piss out of you for being darker skinned than them, most probably spend a fortune for two weeks away in the summer trying to get a tan to look more you! Ironical!
lestajigs Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 Like they can talk Nottingham reminds me off somewhere in Somalia
The Year Of The Fox Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 Leicester town centre is far from English i agree but they just do it to wind up the fans. im sure all the lcfc fans are pretty much english to me! Agreed

Vardinhio Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 Having lived in the heart of Radford for a year I can vouch that many of Nottingham's inner city residents are black, aisan or polish. Crime is pretty bad around Radford, St Anns, Meadows etc and yes if i am being honest it does mainly seem to be black gangs causing the issues. So whilst Forest may liken us to Baghdad, well Forest are more of a Kingston Of course I'm joking. Seriously who cares, this is about football, any chants around it are purely to wind up. I'm a Leicester fan for life but our city centre stinks compared to Nottinghams. Though it does reign supreme over Derby's.
RedHux Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 Derby's not even a proper city... You know what I meant

Vennegoor10 Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 As I've said previously in this very thread; It had nothing to do with multiculturalism in our city, nothing to do with our owners, and nothing to do with our ex England gaffer. It was simply a chant aimed at Lee Camp who had recently switched his international availability from English to Irish. Can everyone read? Good.

Might have believed you, had the song not been sung when Camp was at the other end of the pitch..
