Thracian Posted 15 September 2011 Posted 15 September 2011 I just wonder if Svens heart is in football now? Of course it is! But some might think he keeps the ball in his wallet! .
Bugg Posted 15 September 2011 Posted 15 September 2011 Dave Jones or Billy Davies please. FFS NO! These are two managers who have been in exactly the same position as Sven, being given a load of money that they have spunked up the wall. What have they achieved from doing that? Fuck all, they've both spent £10million+ on players and have only managed to reach the play offs, and didn't even get anything out of it. Do we really want these kind of people managing us?
tomtom Posted 15 September 2011 Posted 15 September 2011 Dave Jones or Billy Davies please. Hahahaha That is all
Corky Posted 15 September 2011 Posted 15 September 2011 Unbelieveable. If you really believe that the squad we had a year ago was good enough and Pearson was good enough then you definitely saw a different team to me - in your thinking we would have stuck with Howard and Fryatt up front and Weale in goal. Back to the Kettering alusion, to get anywhere these days you need a pair of kahunas and a lot of faith, something severely lacking on this board. The 'overpaid' players we have now are small beer compared to the Premiership and thank God the new owners have some faith in the manager. Sven may not be the saviour but compared to the sad sacks mentioned on here, he is the only winner, albeit a bit faded, and we are lucky to have him. The thought of being stuck in this division with an also ran like Pearson (whose football style was as dull as dishwater doesn't bear contemplation and the realmreason the 'fans' are upset is because they can't win every game 5-0. Grow up and enjoy the rollercoaster suckers. So, really, you are praising Pearson for doing well with such a limited squad then? It wasn't perfect during his time, but he did lay a foundation that should've been built upon. I'm not saying he should still be here because football moves on but he did a good job for this club at it's lowest point.
GianEmmo Zola Posted 15 September 2011 Posted 15 September 2011 I'd like Sven to be our manager! Haha me too. Played 6 games and 8 points off the top. Not the end of the world is it. If we beat brighton and win the next couple and results go our way will be right up there. Smashing the sheep shaggers along the way. !
hackneyfox Posted 15 September 2011 Posted 15 September 2011 Pearson brought in more strikers like Waghorn, Gallagher, Kermorgant and Vaughan. Weale kept something like 20 clean sheets in his first season, which suggests he wasn't entirely without abilty (until his confidence and that of others was wrecked by Sven). Several of the recent signings are on Premier wages because that's what Sven had to offer them in order to bring them here. If we're not promoted at the end of the season they'll be off. What fantastic high scoring strikers they have been. Weale was a bench warmer at Bristol, he had 1 good season, many of us had seen through him (and the ball had gone through, round or under him) well before Sven turned up. Do we know that players are on Premier salaries? You mentioned Bednar, Kirkland & Ricardo in an earlier post, did Sven sign them on permanently, I don't remember that, I thought they all got binned off.
Mack Posted 15 September 2011 Posted 15 September 2011 I'll go for Jesus. But he must be forewarned that even if he does walk on water in the Foxes cause some fans will still not be happy.
Corky Posted 15 September 2011 Posted 15 September 2011 I'd like Sven to be our manager! Bang out of order.
