Guest Col city fan Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 Same as last season, Is this a fitness issue, or something otherwise? can someone enlighten me please My son was at today's game and said we looked completely knackered after about 70 mins Having had two weeks off to train and get fitter this is simply unacceptable However, a few of em have been off on holidays apparently. Gally to new York for instance Sven and Fazzer need to toughen up on this quickly
somebum Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 When Khruschev was forced out, he sat down and wrote two letters to his successor. He said - "When you get yourself into a situation you can't get out of, open the first letter, and you'll be safe. When you get yourself into another situation you can't get out of, open the second letter". Well, soon enough, this guy found himself into a tight place, so he opened the first letter. Which said - "Blame everything on me". So he blames the old man, it worked like a charm. He got himself into a second situation he couldn't get out of, he opened the second letter. It said - "Sit down, and write two letters"
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 This whole thing is annoying me now. We drew today, whats the big deal? 6 games in, we're 10th not that bad! 6 games in! People need to realise it won't be easy and cause we have had an average start doesn't mean anything! another 40 games left!!

Yeah but it is not that great either, considering the Thais have spent alot of money, they are expecting better, they want automatic promotion, our poor goal difference compared to the current top 6 at the moment isn't that desirable and mean we have to start putting points on the board quickly if we are to catch up.
accessory Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 He's got a better record than Sven in this division (at least for us.J

He's not bald Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 I don't think the yardstick is where we were after Soussa but where we were after Pearson. With the time taken, a full close season and the investment made I'd have expected an improvement - both in league position and in the way we were shaping up as a team. As it is Hull are actually above us in the table now showing that Pearson seems to have rebuilt steadily and effectively in his Policeman Plod style. Pearson's departure was a shock but having made that decision and having finally got around to appointing Sven I expected to go forward from the Pearson position and to start showing a bit of panache to go with the professionalism of Pearson's time. Sven has had managerial utopia in terms of backing but our better players seem to be perfroming no better than the average ones we had under Pearson. I don't want a new manager at this stage. But we'll have to get one if we don't get the right coaches, preparing with the attention to detail, with the right philosophy and instilling the right motivation for getting us to give 90 minutes commitment towards winning our football matches. To date this season I'm not sure we've given 90 minutes of really focused effort in any game. We've just functioned properly for parts of games. Have to agree..this is well and truly Sven's team now with the best financial backing available in the championship.. I have never advocated knee jerk changes but if we don't start to see more consistant improvement soon then he may well have to step aside considering the investment made!
boring_jester Posted 11 September 2011 Author Posted 11 September 2011 As anyone read the first post. WFT. This thread is NOT about replacing Sven. I don't want that and many others don't. BUT some want him gone. I dont know why cause at this level I think hes the best we can get. This thread is about what other manager we can get if (like a good % of the forum want) Sven left. I dont think there is any alternative at this level. So for or those tw@ts out there moaning about another Get rid of Sven thread. This IS NOT one of them. So stop the "Not another fvcking thread" and "He is a Boring Jester" shit and stay on topic. Roger, Rant over!
MC Prussian Posted 11 September 2011 Posted 11 September 2011 I like Sven. He needs time to put the teams together. We are mid table unlike last year where we where bottom. If Sven does go (Like every one on this forum at one point in time as said they want) who would want to come to the club? Who could we get? I don't think MON would come because of expectations. Sven leaving at this point would be terrible for our seasons. What do you all think? As anyone read the first post. WFT. This thread is NOT about replacing Sven. I don't want that and many others don't. BUT some want him gone. I dont know why cause at this level I think hes the best we can get. Roger, Rant over! Then why are you starting a thread about possible replacements for Sven six games into the new season?
Rincewind Posted 11 September 2011 Posted 11 September 2011 There are two or three similar threads to comment about possible replacements. One is plenty because there is no way somebody will not mention it so why not have a moan and groan thread where those that wish to can slag off any player and manager to their hearts content and everyone else can ignore it.
m4DD0gg Posted 11 September 2011 Posted 11 September 2011 To be honest i think Sven will be gone by the end of September. With the money spent the owners are going to be fuming they are not top 6, also with Sven his short comings are so obvious, we have quality players who if played correctly by a no nonsense manager would be in the top 3 no problem. I like Sven and its nice to have a well known manager at the helm but i do not think he is the man who will lead us to the prem.

I love how people are so sure that with a different manager that we would be demolishing the league. Look at the other teams who are struggling who have had wholesale changes to their teams, and strengthened with quality or were pencilled in to be contenders, yet aren't up there at the top of the table. Ipswich, Forrest, Birmingham, & Reading. Do you think their fans are giving up on their managers or being considerate and patient giving time for the team to settle and pick up momentum slowly, rather than blow their load at the end up scraping the relegation zone by the end of the season (see Derby & 'Boro)
lee(lcfc) Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 we need some one like billy davis, who know this league and top half of this league. we do not need a big name manager.
@mrtonycox Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 We live in a democracy and are entitled to freedom of speech.. I suggest somebody creates a vote, would be interesting to view percentage of the forum happy or unhappy with Sven.

wellyfox Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 Why wait sack sven now this minute. That will give the new manager the loan window to bring in who he wants. Then if we are not top for Xmas we can sack him so the nxt guy can spend another 20mill. And if he ain't top by mid Feb we can sack him so the new guy can use the loan window again an we will go up. OR will it be down like MM done to us when he could not wait five minutes for us to win a game. Am starting to wish we never came into this fookin money. Least the bandwagon would not have all the fookin muppets it's got now
Master Fox Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 I can't believe we are even having this discussion. This is the real downside to supporting Leicester. You people are going to be proven so wrong.
He's not bald Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 Unbeaten in nearly a month in cup and league! (you don't have to be a "glass half full"type of person to be a Leicester supporter but it sure helps!!)
seenitall Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 Football is a marvellous game - lots of close run matches, a nail biting end to the season, managers blending players over the season to get a great team - and then there's the fans, getting behind their teams and supporting them through thick and thin, sharing the highs and lows and welcoming changes to the team, new players who might one day become heroes. Then there's Leicester fans - who want to win every game 15-0 (by half time) think they have a god given right to be one of the big 4 and want a new manager every 5 games, as well as being totally ungrateful that anyone would spend £10m on their (frankly) poorly supported club in an attempt to get them out of the mire they have been in for the past 10 years. Last years team was terrible and Sven has rightly bought a new one - no one was going to invest millions with an untried manager like Pearson at the helm and not many players of Nugent, Schmeical or Beckford's quality would have wanted to come to a club managed by him so please shut up, give Sven a season at least of his own team (which he bought the last player for a week ago) and rest assured if he does fail/leave (and remember guys its 46 games, not 10) we will have another klutz like Pearson or some other no name mid table specialist signing average loan players and stay in the division we're in now, or worse, for years to come.
NewquayFox Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 Sven will do fine for me, i cant wait to see all the `Leicester City Premier League` car stickers at the start of next season, 6 games in and after 2 rubbish home results i cant beleive some `FANS`???? reactions on here.... Get a feckin grip people...GRRRRRR!!!!
Marmite Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 I think personally that if we dont get 4 points from our next 2 home games that would be enough to seal his fate. I personally think this would be a rash decision but the Thai's are not here to mess about and want instant success. I would go for Mark Hughs or Dave Jones to be honest or Brian McDermott

The biggest problem Sven has right now could be solved by colonic irrigation. That would flush out the lowlife who remain stuck firmly up his backside. The Pearson side wasn't perfect, but it was a hell of a lot better than the overpaid dross we're seeing in the shirts now.
