Axle Horsepower Posted 15 September 2011 Posted 15 September 2011 I had a cracking curry on queens road, though I can't remember the name of the place... doh!
MrsJohnMurphy Posted 15 September 2011 Posted 15 September 2011 If you like take away, try India Gate on Watergate Lane, it's very home cooked proper style, and the meat is from my local butchers, hence good quality!!! This!! The tandoori mixed grill is just amazing!!
MrsJohnMurphy Posted 15 September 2011 Posted 15 September 2011 Are the Club Flamingo on Checketts Rd and the Martin Inn off Catherine St still any good, its been a few years since i've been but they were top a few years ago.
vandamman Posted 15 September 2011 Author Posted 15 September 2011 I know you shouldn't judge a restaurant by its front but I work near Vishal and it looks nasty from the front! Think i'm gonna go with Grand Dhubar. I've been Red Rose in Syston before and I would say its better than Spice of India but its a bit small. Cheers for the suggestions, some interesting ones, is Swatlands expensive?
fox123 Posted 15 September 2011 Posted 15 September 2011 Swatlands is reasonably priced. You get what you pair for at the end of the day. Also heard that it's Englebert Humpadink's(sp) favourite Indian too!
GUJJIFOX Posted 15 September 2011 Posted 15 September 2011 Are the Club Flamingo on Checketts Rd and the Martin Inn off Catherine St still any good, its been a few years since i've been but they were top a few years ago. Martin Inn for me. The food is amazing!
Wymsey Posted 15 September 2011 Posted 15 September 2011 I know this Swatland's now after looking at their website photos. A fellow box holder used to run it. Good choice of food and a pleasant atmosphere.
