Guest DavidJCW Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 A very strange one... I myself am proof of the simple, widely reported psychology of subconsciously wanting to believe Knox and Sollecito purely because they don't look or act like murderers. Without really knowing why, I find myself slightly glad they were acquitted. I'd love to see all the evidence and try to make a more informed decision. My thoughts exactly. I found myself strangely really pleased when I heard the news... but for no discernible reason other than they didn't seem like they did it. This 10,000 page document of evidence would be interesting to see...
jonno24 Posted 3 October 2011 Author Posted 3 October 2011 Can't wait for the FHM spread. Been watching a lot of the case, wouldn't have had a clue which way to go. Like a few have mentioned, lucky she's a middle class American, wouldn't if stood a chance otherwise Honestly ? You think she was cleared because she was a middle class american ? The jury didnt believe the evidence that was given simple as no matter wether she was middle class or trailer trash But hey maybe your rite
jonno24 Posted 3 October 2011 Author Posted 3 October 2011 Nope, I just think that she was guilty, seems like people have bought the idea that because the media have made this ridiculous campaign to release her that it's true that she's innocent. No doubt her rich parents also helped her cause. Just because she's a young and pretty student doesn't mean she wasn't a complete psychopath. But hey, what do I know? Quite simple = **** all There not guilty end of the evidence is completely against there conviction
Guest DavidJCW Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Likelihood of extradition is virtually non-existent according to people being asked by the BBC on the news right now. If Knox gets out of Italy tonight, she'll be a free woman for the rest of her life unless she, for some strange reason, decides to go back.
Tielemans63 Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 I've always thought they did do it. Seems extremely unlikely MK cut her own throat. In my opinion the acquittal is largely down to the incompetence of Italian police and therefore a decent case. I lived in Italy for 2years and I can tell you they're as clueless as they are corrupt.
Guest MattP Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Quite simple = **** all There not guilty end of the evidence is completely against there conviction No it isn't, the evidence pretty much suggests they were involved, more to do with the fact the police have cocked up when stockpiling it that has led to this appeal.

If they appeal, she's been found innocent so they can't arrest and take her into custody her unless they uncover new evidence that incriminates her, and lets face it, if they had such evidence it'd put forward at the appeal.

A third defedant, Ruddy Guede, was found guilty and sentenced to 16 years.

The jury didnt believe the evidence that was given simple as no matter wether she was middle class or trailer trash But hey maybe your rite The campaign back home that has presented this case through the international media has been extremely favourable to Knox. If this was a working class Negro from Harlem he would still be in prison. You believe Rudy Guede is innocent or not?

Well yes, but there were talks of her being denied the ability to leave the country over a potential appeal. An appeal which we know cannot be launched until tomorrow at the earliest, by which point she'll be well out of the country, if not in America already. My point was merely, if there was to be an appeal and she was found guilty again, as long as she's out of Italy, she's not likely to ever go back to prison there as the US simply won't extradite her.

Well his DNA was found all over the crime scene (Meredith's room) None of Knox's DNA was found there. I know which one i'd point the finger at.

No doubt he was involved. Bit why did Knox spend the first 6 months telling us that Patrick guy did it? Among the other porkies she couldn't stop telling whilst giggling her way through the first trial. The more I think about I'm sure all 3 were involved in some way.

She didn't sit giggling through the first trial, that's rubbish. She behaved bizarrely during the interrogation, but not the trial.
Jimmy Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Amazing how different the media coverage is now vs 2007-08. Sounds like justice is done. Sad for Merediths family as they have believed the prosecution all along. they still have 1 guy convicted of it

cambridgefox Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 what a shambles of a court case this was. but she is gonna be a very very very rich lady when she gets back to America I know its no help, but half that money should go to the Kerchers.
jonno24 Posted 3 October 2011 Author Posted 3 October 2011 I know its no help, but half that money should go to the Kerchers. Why is that ?
Guest MattP Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 ead the case against him then make your own mind up I've read about the whole case extensively and "death in Perugia".
cambridgefox Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Why is that ? Well it was there daughter that was murdered, why should they have a circus revolve around their loss, i know Amanda Knox was imprisoned wrongly but with books, films and endless interviews, being imprisoned for four years albeit wrongly is hardly worth millions, while the Kerchers are most probably going to be forgotten in this financial gain after losing a daughter.
Guest MattP Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 I know its no help, but half that money should go to the Kerchers. Anyone want to bet me that she's turns up for the Slander case at Xmas or pays the damages to Luwembos she has been ordered to? I'll say no to both.

She hasn't been imprisoned wrongly. She was given the time she has served already today for trying to pin the crime on that bar owner where she claimed she had to cover her ears in the next room while he killed her before she admitted she was lying (again).

Im pretty sure financial gain is the furthest from their minds at the moment. However Amanda has every rite to profit from her release she spent 4 years in jail for a crime she has now been proven innocent of. It may sound horrible but she doesnt owe the Kerchers anything There is still another person in prison for this murder his appeal was a failed one

One year, she was handed 3 today for the slander of PL, she gets that's if innocent or not of the crime.
