jonno24 Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 what a shambles of a court case this was. but she is gonna be a very very very rich lady when she gets back to America
Webbo Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 If she is innocent, no amount of money is going to give her the last 4 years back.
Bryn Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 A very strange one... I myself am proof of the simple, widely reported psychology of subconsciously wanting to believe Knox and Sollecito purely because they don't look or act like murderers. Without really knowing why, I find myself slightly glad they were acquitted. I'd love to see all the evidence and try to make a more informed decision.
jonno24 Posted 3 October 2011 Author Posted 3 October 2011 If she is innocent, no amount of money is going to give her the last 4 years back. True but it helps Plus she is quite young so it may not be all bad for her
Jon the Hat Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Amazing how different the media coverage is now vs 2007-08. Sounds like justice is done. Sad for Merediths family as they have believed the prosecution all along.
Bryn Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Am I right in thinking that the prosecution can appeal, but it's likely she'll flee immediately to the USA and probably never have to go back?
marko Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 The fact they were convicted on such weak, questionable DNA evidence and weak circumstantial is a bit of a travesty. I'd like to believe they didn't do it, but only those two will ever know the truth.
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 what a shambles of a court case this was. but she is gonna be a very very very rich lady when she gets back to America Its just the American million dollar PR machine to get her freed getting their money back !!!!
marko Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Am I right in thinking that the prosecution can appeal, but it's likely she'll flee immediately to the USA and probably never have to go back? Yes, they can appeal to the Supreme Court in Rome. From what I understand, if an appeal is granted she can be tried in absence.
jonno24 Posted 3 October 2011 Author Posted 3 October 2011 Am I right in thinking that the prosecution can appeal, but it's likely she'll flee immediately to the USA and probably never have to go back? Theres nothing in Italian law to say that she cant leave the country say for instance if the prosecution appeals tonight....... If they can ?
Guest Bilo Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 At least I can now say I want to shag her without feeling guilty. I mean come on! And she's a goer. Allegedly.

Knock yourself out Knox/Sollecito Evidence I've read bits of it and it's pretty intriguing.
skinnydipper Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 At least I can now say I want to shag her without feeling guilty. I mean come on! And she's a goer. Allegedly. Just make sure that the letter opener is well out of reach
marko Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Theres nothing in Italian law to say that she cant leave the country say for instance if the prosecution appeals tonight....... If they can ? It's a long process. The Courts will be closed now, so the earliest they could file an appeal is tomorrow, by which time she could be well on her way to America.
jonno24 Posted 3 October 2011 Author Posted 3 October 2011 I think she's guilty. Psycho bitch. You a lawyer ?
marko Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 At least I can now say I want to shag her without feeling guilty. I mean come on! And she's a goer. Allegedly. Even more so when you think about her enforced break from the deed.
Guest Bilo Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Just make sure that the letter opener is well out of reach She might still have some handcuffs..... Jesus, am I just sick?
Guest MattP Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Can't wait for the FHM spread. Been watching a lot of the case, wouldn't have had a clue which way to go. Like a few have mentioned, lucky she's a middle class American, wouldn't if stood a chance otherwise
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 After the verdicts, outside the court,at least Sollecito's father made reference to the Kercher familys loss...........which is more than Knox's sister did !
Bugg Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 You a lawyer ? Nope, I just think that she was guilty, seems like people have bought the idea that because the media have made this ridiculous campaign to release her that it's true that she's innocent. No doubt her rich parents also helped her cause. Just because she's a young and pretty student doesn't mean she wasn't a complete psychopath. But hey, what do I know?
skinnydipper Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 She might still have some handcuffs..... Jesus, am I just sick? Having regard to the range of your FT content ...... almost certainly

No doubt her rich parents also helped her cause. Just because she's a young and pretty student doesn't mean she wasn't a complete psychopath. But hey, what do I know? But the DNA certainly suggests she was innocent. None of her DNA was found in the room, the amount on the alleged murder weapon was so small it was negligible and the alleged murder was inconsistent with the wounds. As I said, only her and Sollecito will ever know the truth, but to imprison someone for 26 years on circumstantial evidence is criminal.
skinnydipper Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 So, just Guede guilty then. Unfortunately for him, with all his appeals exhausted he'll be sewing the sacco postale for many years to come
