The Year Of The Fox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Ever seen a reg plate on your travels that indicates there was someone famous inside? For instance, a while back my dad was overtaken by DAN 1 who my dad swears was Paul Daniels A couple of years ago I was driving through Derby one evening and I was sat behind a Range Rover saying MEGSON. I've got a pic on my old phone actually! I also saw gally driving up the a50 last Feb/march time. Have you spotted any? (not off the Tele)

Zingari Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Cheers for that! Sounds like my dad was talking shite then in this instance i'm afraid he was, and you can tell him so on good authority

purpleronnie Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Personalized number plate = Attention seeking wally.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Personalized number plate = Attention seeking wally. It concerns you what people spend their spare cash on?
purpleronnie Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 It concerns you what people spend their spare cash on? Nope.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 So they're not "attention seeking wallies" then are they?
The Year Of The Fox Posted 22 October 2011 Author Posted 22 October 2011 To be fair its the non famous people with personalised plates that are attention seeking.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 So they're not "attention seeking wallies" then are they? Yep.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Not really, now I don't have a private plate myself. But if I had the cash I would. The only time I like the limelight is after a few jars of the Amber nectar. I don't see it as any more than a item to personalise something that is exactly the same as any other 4 wheeled metal box. That's like saying having your own ringtone makes you attention seeking - everybody hears it

FoxesAreBlue Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 The point is it's disposable income so cost shouldn't really be an issue. I have seen plates that could spell my name which cost less than my season ticket. Only reason I didn't is because I would rather watch the team more so than have the plate - if I end up with a bit more spare cash then I'll have both, a bit more spare cash and I'll have the private jet too.
