Waghorn is a talent, when he got called up to the England Under-21s that really surprised me, he is our player I could see him doing well back here under Pearson's guidance

Waggy was brilliant under Pearson on his loan and I see no reason why he can't get back to that form.

I do have my doubts after his time here under other managers so I wouldn't want him at the forefront of our attack.

However, he does have ability and I don't think there is any reason why he can't feature for us, particularly coming off the bench and using his pace, strength and doggedness to help see out and even win games in which we need an edge.

Like Fryatt and Hobbs only Pearson seemed to get anything good out of Waghorn. So it may actually be like having another striker again... we'll see.

Clean slate for everyone now, at least it should be.

I can't see Waggy getting a look in - not with Nugent in the team, with Schlupp firing on all cylinders and with a motivated Beckford. He can't cross for toffee, so I have no idea why he'd be 'an option' out wide. Yes, he was great on loan under NP last time, but remember he was getting in the team alongside Fryatt and ahead of Howard. They're hardly of the same calibre as Nugent, for one.

Please, let's not drag him up again. Likewise for Hobbs, who has moved to Hull permanently - not on loan, on a three-year contract. He ain't coming back, we've got Mills, Bamba, St Ledger who IMHO would all play ahead of him.

Good point.

Nugent now has the Fryatt song while Mills has taken the Hobbs tune, and we don't want the fans confused.
